I am from Rajasthan, and my surname is Singh Panwar, and we are Rajputs. I mean, my grandfather is officially considered one because all his documents mention the General category and Caste as Rajput. But in 2020, my father got an OBC certificate made, and in that my caste is written as “Ravana Rajput.”

So my question is: who are Rajputs vs Ravana Rajputs, and why do Ravana Rajputs come under OBC? Also, do Panwar/Parmar people fall under OBC? Because now officially I have an OBC certificate. Last year I tried to get an EWS certificate made again, but they refused and said there could be major legal issues, and told me to stay with the category that already exists.
