Where can i find artworks/fanarts of Bolaño’s work or of Bolaño himself?

Tried the obvious places (google, pinterest) but the results are meh, and aren’t many.

I figured maybe there will be more results in hispanic sites, but i don’t know any

(Looking especially for Savage detectives art)

The part about the killings

Holy shit this is the most depressing thing ive ever read, and ive only now reached the year 1994. The story about the 11 year old with the heart attack hit the wall for me. Thing is beyond that wall there are 300 more pages. I don’t want to dnf this, and so far this part is actually brilliant despite everything.

What is the right approach to go on about this part? Read it all as fast as possible? Ponder about each and every murder? Do you get numbed about them after a while?

Ofc this is about femicides and there’s no way to sugarcoat it, but damn

Genuine question what is Murakami’s deal?

I love murakami, read 5 novels from him and all were great. I didn’t mind the weird sex scenes that much, they were weird but not to the point of ruining the novel.

But now I’m reading Killing Commendatore, just finished the first part, really enjoyed it till now, but he just had to ruin it with the scene where the narrator paints the girl. Why tf would a 12 year old girl bring up the topic of her breast in a conversation with a grown ass man? And why does he enthusiastically participate in that conversation and even brings up his penis? And for god sake what’s the obsession with his dead (and also twelve year old) sister?

The reason I didn’t mind this shit too much in 1Q84 and Kafka on The Shore is because he was at least willing to make up some excuse for it to be technically ok (like Erika being just a dohta), but now it was not only creepy and disgusting, but also just plainly dumb and annoying.

Would probably drop this book if i hadn’t already read half of it. Though im guessing there’s probably even weirder shit in the second half.

Just trying to understand what’s going through his mind when he decides that this stuff is necessary for his novels, does he enjoy making people think he has pedophilic thoughts?

Sion - i dont get it

Even after reading Ulysses’s and belano’s interpretation to it (as explained to Amadeo) i don’t get it, ok so its a boat and a sea, ok so its just a joke… so what? What’s even the joke? What am i missing? Ive known about this “poem” even before i read this and looked forward to it and it is just so underwhelming. I loved this book but this, and the final poem at the end bugs me because i just don’t get them. Anyone care to share their interpretations?
