Eli Rallo? I can’t stand her

Am I the only one that just can’t stand Eli rallo? I find her super annoying, her videos to be cringy, always yapping about something stupid, and acting like a know it all, I feel like she’s always right in her mind. There’s so much more that I can say but I just wanna know if I’m alone in this or not! lol

Book recommendations 1870-1930

Hi guys! I just finished American Princess: a novel about first daughter Alice Roosevelt by Stephanie Marie Thornton, and now I’m in the mood to read more books that take place around the same era! I’m looking for recommendations about women from the Gilded Age through the 1930s, it can be about socialites, heiresses, reformers, artists, activists, political figures, or anyone who lived an interesting life during that period. I really appreciate it Thanks in advance!

Okay I need to vent! I started this new job after I got fired in February, basically I got fired from an office management position in a firm because I didn’t have enough experience - which honestly, I agreed with. However I took the first job I could find because I need money and omg do I regret it.

I have the worst, most arrogant, needy boss in the entire world. He is by far the most needy man I have ever had the displeasure to work for. Not only do I have to do everything in the office, such as payroll, secretary work, paralegal work, legal assistant work, associate work, but I also have to babysit this 60 year old man to make sure he get his work done. I will spend my mornings drafting everything he needs so when he comes in he just has to sign and then it’s out. But no, he comes in, he has to take every single call that comes in no matter what, will drop everything to speak to a random consult on the phone, he prioritizes the wrong things and because of that, motions get left behind, petitions, answers, he delays everything until the last minute and it drives me insane. He had me drafting a closing statement, rushing through it, something that we knew about for a while and had all day to work on - he starts it at 3:30pm. He needs me to print out his emails everyday because he doesn’t know how to use a computer, and I have to sit and go through it with him, he still uses a book calendar and needs me to sit with him and go through the calendar when he comes in, so we have it in the office calendar and on his own personal calendar he takes with him and then I have to call him every morning to again, go over his calendar that he has with him. He is also late to everything, which is a massive pet peeve of mine. He told me he wants this position to be long term but I can’t see myself sticking around and babysitting this man.

Another thing, I don’t mind staying late, I’ve never really had to before, but I absolutely refuse to stay late because of someone’s procrastination, it’s ridiculous. Yesterday, I had a NOA for him to sign and for me to upload, he got in the office at 12pm, it was right in front of him, but instead called everyone back, took all the calls that came in, and by the time he got to it, it was 4:50. Mind you, I asked him to review it 5 times. He’s ridiculous! Today he leaves his office and tells me he lost connection on his landline and wants me to call tech support at 5pm, I said absolutely not, I’m leaving, I do not get paid enough to do what he wants from me.

Now I’ve been at this job for 2 months, I am miserable, it’s consuming me, my unhappiness with this job is really taking a toll on me, my mental health, my relationship. I want to start looking for jobs but I had a paralegal job for a year, then I got another job for a few months before I was approached for the office management position, which I took because they gave me benefits, more money and closer to home. However that didn’t work out, I had that job from June to February and now I’m here, that’s basically 4 jobs within 2 1/2 years. I feel so lost, I love the work itself, and I had experience working for a good attorney before and I regret leaving that job today, because even though I couldnt stand the managing partner, everyone else was great. Now I’m torn between sticking it out for a year, because I know I’ll gain a lot of experience here, or for the sake of my mental health, just start looking now.
