Hi guys.
I have a restored 69 Midget. During the restore they added a 45 twin choke weber and an upgraded cam shaft (MD276).
I have had to mix around with the jets and chokes on the carb to get her running smooth, she absolutely flies now without missing a beat. She hit 80mph at 3500 RPM, daren't not take her more than that even though the engine has also been overhauled.
My issue is dieseling, quite bad dieseling, she could easily run on for a minute, almost about to die, then comes back to life. Now I am having to stall her to stop the engine immediately.
She has the original distributor with points, all new parts including new coil.
What can I do to try and stop this, would an electronic ignition stop this, slightly adjusted timing or am I looking at something more serious? As you can guess I am not a mechanic so have been living off of advice on here and DSShooter on YouTube :-)
I assume all is OK on the intake side as she runs lovely.
