Saint Lucia passport holders born in certain countries

I recently received my Saint Lucia passport and have been able to use it normally for travel to Turkey and several European countries without any issues.
However, I want to share an important warning for anyone considering citizenship by investment: visa-free access is not always determined by your passport alone. Some countries also consider your country of birth, and additional restrictions may apply if you were born in certain countries.
In my case, I faced this issue with Taiwan and Egypt. Although Saint Lucian citizens may generally have easier entry or visa arrangements, my place of birth created additional requirements and prevented me from relying on the standard rules for Saint Lucia passport holders.
So, before booking any non-refundable flights or hotels, don’t only check the visa requirements based on your current nationality.
A Saint Lucia passport is still very useful, and I have travelled with it normally to many destinations. But it is important to understand that visa-free access may not apply equally to every passport holder, especially when the country has restrictions based on birthplace
I’m sharing this because this detail is rarely explained clearly by citizenship agents, visa websites, or passport-ranking websites.

Unmarried foreign couple staying in a Cairo hotel Saint Lucia and Iraqi passports

Hi everyone,
My girlfriend and I are planning to visit Cairo from 26 to 31 August. We are both foreign tourists and neither of us is Egyptian.
I hold a Saint Lucia passport, while my girlfriend holds an Iraqi passport. We are not legally married and would like to book one hotel room together.
Has anyone been in a similar situation, particularly where one person had an Arab passport? Were you asked to provide a marriage certificate at check-in?
We are considering international hotels such as Cairo Marriott Zamalek, Kempinski Nile, or the Nile Ritz-Carlton. If you have personally stayed at any Cairo hotel under similar circumstances, please share the hotel’s name and your recent experience.
We will contact the hotel before booking, but we would appreciate hearing from people who have actually experienced this.

Finally received my Saint Lucia passport after almost 3 years!

It’s been a long process, but today I finally have it in my hands. Definitely feels good to see the journey come to an end.
For those who already have one, I have a few questions:
Any tips for using it for the first time?
Is there anything you wish you had known when you first got yours?
Any travel, immigration, or practical advice for dual citizens?
Looking forward to hearing your experiences. Thanks!

Can I add my spouse to my Saint Lucia CBI application if she is Iraqi?

Hello everyone,
I am an Iraqi citizen and I received my Saint Lucia citizenship and passport about a week ago.
I have a question regarding marriage and adding a spouse in the future.
If I get married to an Iraqi woman, would I be able to add her later and obtain Saint Lucia citizenship for her as my spouse? Because they already posted that they stopped iraqi from applying to it only if you lived 10 years or more outside of iraq and prove it.
Has anyone gone through this process recently? If yes, what were the requirements, costs, and processing times?
I would appreciate any information or personal experiences.
Thank you.
