Waitlist Residence Mcmaster

I have an 87.3 average that isn't my top 6, but it is the top 6 required for my program. I am stressing about the residence and when I would be able to get off it. I don't want to be rushing last minute with the moving in. When do they typically send out emails regarding waitlisted students, what are the most common buildings they send them to? Do you think it's worth me stressing over this? Would I get in at all?

I am curious about the process on switching from earth sci to life sci. What are the requirements? Do you have to take earth and environmental related courses in first year, or can you choose other preferred sciences? How do I know which courses to take? Is it a smooth process?
