So happy- grown from pixie length!

1st&3rd pics are current, second pic is in May 2026. It looks a little scraggly causes I have curly hair and this is it brushed.
Y’all I can’t believe I’m here, and I’m posting to give you some encouragement to keep going!
I started growing my hair from an ear length (and shorter layers) pixie in 2020. It’s been such a long journey, I had it cut into a shag twice, the last time was a year ago and I was devastated when the amount of layers was more than I’d ask for, resulting in thinner ends.
Sometimes I wish I’d never cut it except trims cause it would be full at the bottom, but now that it’s significantly long it’s easier for me to value the whole journey lol. Since 2026 I have probably cut about 6” of length total.
I have never put heat or dyes on my hair and I’m incredibly gentle with it. I use oneka shampoo and conditioner, revive from lush, and eco gel. Biggest thing is that I oil the ends every day with HINU natural hair oil and I put it on my scalp every other day. Scalp massage daily. Sleep in a braid with satin hair cover or pillowcase. Boar bristle brush for scalp massage, but mostly I just brush it with my fingers.
Im so excited to be at tailbone length this time next year, and my ultimate goal is mid thigh! My plan is to get a 1” trim on the winter solstice every year from now on, and once it reaches classic length I’ll probably do a more significant 4” cut to keep the ends thicker and grow out some of my layers. Yay!!

Camouflage & working with shape > heavy cover

Finding the right artist is key! I’m so grateful my artist worked with the negative space instead of trying to make a bulky design. I did have one laser session, and it wasn’t a heavy tattoo to begin with. But I’m still shocked at how much it disappeared!!
