Should I just let this go?

I was fired because I was told that there were incidents where I would void items but still have to customers without charging them. I was lead to believe there was an investigation and they wanted to know if I would be honest with them, I was honest and then fired. I told them I don’t remember ever doing this and if I did it was a mistake. I was shown a photo from a random day 2 months ago of me voiding and giving the customer the item for free and I don’t remember. I was in too much shock about being fired that I just left. I am the type of person who takes a while to get all my thoughts together and actually have something to say. Don’t always do well being put on the spot. I sent in a comment about my firing and I asked if I’m allowed to see the footage of me doing what I’m accused of doing and I haven’t received a response. I’ve been with this company for almost 14 years and this is not the type of person I am. I just need to see the footage and then I can move on. Or should I just let it go? I just didn’t know I could be fired for a mistake I had know idea I made.

I was fired today and I am lost. I was told that I caused shortage in the store by voiding items and then giving the items to back to the customer and not charging them. I was told there were a few incidents that were investigated. I am an honest person and I had no idea I was doing this and I don’t think I ever have. I was shown a photo as evidence from 2 months ago from a random day that I don’t remember. I don’t understand why this took so long to talk to me about or why this wasn’t just a warning at least. I recently had an emergency and was sick so I had to call out for 3 days but I brought a note in but I still think I’m being targeted because of this. I have health problems and a disability that I think is the real reason behind my firing. I’ve been at this company for 14 years, why would I choose now to just give away merchandise free to people I don’t even know?.
