Free 5.3 LS or Jackson Racing Supercharger for my FRS?
Need opinions from people who’ve actually been down this road. I have an FRS and I’m stuck between boosting the FA20 or just going full LS swap. I have access to a free 5.3, so the engine cost is basically covered, but obviously the swap still adds up with trans, mounts, wiring, driveshaft, fuel system, etc.
Other option is just keeping it simple and spending around 6k on a Jackson Racing supercharger setup.
Car is mostly street driven with occasional pulls/fun driving. I want something reliable and fun, not a constant headache. Goal is around 280-400whp depending on route.
If you were in my position would you:
1.JRSC the FA20
2.LS swap it since the 5.3 is free
3.Or just leave it alone entirely
People who’ve owned/driven both setups, what would you choose and why?
