Can someone help identify this old sure fire?

It’s from my dad who was in the army for the past 26 years. If era is needed he was in Iraq in 2004, Egypt a bit after that and Afghanistan in like 2009 or so. I know it’s outdated but just a curious.

What type of scope is this?

I have been trying to find out what kind of scope this is. It’s not really important but I’d like to know. The pic is of my dad in 2004 during Iraq with his m14. CMP will be selling m14s soon and so that got me thinking about my dad’s set up. Thanks.
