So I'm in second year BCA student from tier-3 college and honestly I'm just done with it. Everyone says get a degree get a job but BTech students always get picked over BCA and now AI is doing half the coding work anyway. I'm tired of chasing something that feels like a dead end.
My dad runs a commercial embroidery business. Big industrial machines ( I have 3 multiple heads machines) , stitches designs on jeans pockets mostly on denims. He's been doing this for years but honestly he's just surviving. Same old clients, no Instagram, no proper marketing, no corporate clients. Just running day to day. That's where I think I come in.
I'm thinking I finish my degree, learn digitizing on the side which is basically the design software that runs these machines, and slowly start pushing the business toward stable clients like schools hospitals and hotels. These people order uniforms every single year without fail. My social media skills will help in marketing and getting clients professionally.
My dad knows the operations. I just feel like this business never reached its potential because nobody pushed it forward.
cons-garment fashion is shifting toward minimal styles, AI entering digitizing slowly, competition growing.
pros- I think only uncles are in this field so ....
which one should I choose between these two?
