Tomorrow is my deposit deadline at NYU and UChicago. For a plethora of reasons, I have decided that my what is best for me personally and professionally is to attend NYU. However, I was just given this morning (!!) notification that I can actually go on Fulbright teaching grant (one of the less prestigious ones, but a Fulbright nonetheless).
The twist: NYU and UChicago gave me comparable FinAid, but UChicago will defer my aid and NYU says they will reconsider it and I have to give up my current award. At both schools, I was given ~$$. At this point I'm truly invested in attending NYU, much more so than I feel I am in doing the Fulbright---but it feels so difficult to give up when UChicago is giving me an out. What to do, what to do?
