I keep accidentally scaring the mama

I keep accidentally scaring the mama

An American Robin has built a nest behind our AC. Now it hasn't been warm enough to turn our system on yet but we will have to in a few weeks I'm sure. Our house is badly insulated so it gets really warm when we don't turn it on. It should be fine since the nest would not be directly affected, atleast I hope so? There's just a fan on the left that turns. Anyway, it's kinda a high traffic area around my house, I have to walk past it to get to my shed. Doing so scares the mama and she flies away, she does come back at some point. Not sure what to do..

My hero husband

My MIL and I had an amazing relationship, we'd hang out together a lot, had lunch together, baked together, etc. I've been married to her son for 5 years. Then something snapped in her brain and she accused me of making unkind comments about her daughter, which I never did. Her daughter has aggression problems and I've been supporting her for years, advice, support, just someone to vent to. Not only to her daughter but also to her! Lets call her daughter Sarah.

So Sarah has a child now, a newborn, and she expressed that she's not able to deal with her baby because it won't stop annoying her. She mentioned that her husband James takes care of the baby on his own, so I said "wow James, I'm so proud of you!" My MIL then messaged me on Facebook and accused me of picking sides and supporting James instead of Sarah, and that I should look in the mirror because I'm not perfect either, that she could give me tips and tricks on how to support people with mental health problems. She also mentioned she's a lioness lol, and that nobody touches her children. Anyway, at the end of her long rant she also asked me to keep her message between her and I...

Obviously I didn't, I told my husband right away. I was also extremely hurt because I never expected her to attack me like this. I've been so kind to that woman for years, I tried to be the perfect daughter in law. It honestly made me cry a lot, and I've been having a lot of stress and flight or flight feelings. So my husband called her and said "this is the first and last time you talk to my wife like that, you're making up stories in your head about my wife. Don't ever talk to my wife like that again, especially not through Facebook. If Sarah had a problem with my wife's comment, she could tell it to my wife herself. You're defending a 35 year old woman, she's old enough to stand up for herself. My wife did nothing wrong." What a hero right? MIL randomly hung up on him after accusing me some more about being against her daughter. I hope she enjoys her Mother's Day tomorrow.. it's honestly such a shocking situation, I still can't comprehend it. I hope my body calms down soon.
