Would anyone know why when I put in a VHS it just cuts to the hazy screen on some I hear sound but on some I don’t

Only 1 gave me barely a clear image, just wondering if it’s the tapes ? Or the vhs player

I have yellow for video out
And red Audio out on the vhs player
