What’s the most efficient way to start with Kill Team but transition to 40k/Combat Patrol? (With Space Marines)
Hi! Apologies if this has been asked before, have done some digging but can’t land on a hard answer. Really appreciate any help.
TLDR: I’d like to start with a (non-Chaos etc) Space Marine kill team, but be able to someday transition to playing either full 40k or Combat Patrol. What’s the most efficient/least wasteful way to do so, in terms of which set(s) to buy?
In full: I’m a newcomer to the hobby and all my friends are getting into Kill Team first, but we’d like to dabble in full 40k rules and/or combat patrol down the line. I’d like to do Imperial/Adeptus Astartes marines as I’m very basic and want to try and learn to paint them as Blood Ravens.
Basically, I hate wastage/having things I can only use in one situation so want to find the most efficient way (lowest cost/least amount of unusable models) to get started. I’d probably rather fully armoured bois to scouts as they seem slightly easier to paint and learn to play (and again I am a simple person so I think they look cool lol).
