Avengers # 59 - Spare a grade

Would love to get an opinion about the grade of this issue.

First appearance of Yellowjacket and I may want to get it graded if there’s a chance it could break a VF with a clean and a press.

Swamp Thing #4 - How do production errors factor

Bought this online as VF - exterior presents amazingly bar some pen writing on the title and I would agree with that assumption. I was hoping for maybe an 8.0 until I opened the book.

The seller included the staples in the picture so I thought I would be okay - unfortunately it has a clear printing plate alignment issue on multiple pages - given the level of damage and its consistency across at least three pages would this be factored in if I were to slab this, or do production errors even at this level of mess not factor into grading?

The double page spread of the Celestial Eson is one of my favorite pieces of art Kirby has done.

Happy to have a really nice raw copy of the book to appreciate the art

Won this for £18.00 on an Ebay live auction with the claim that this was a 6.5.

Personally i think i paid fair price for this and this feels like a VG. Maybe a 5.0 with wishful thinking. That said the spine is in great condition for a larger format book.

How are these larger format Annuals, Giant Sized or those odd issues like early Silver Surfer comics graded differently to a 36 pager? Binding is always on the front page right?

Crazy to think that this is might as well be Deadshot’s first appearance given how radical a revamp and redesign of a one off Golden Age appearance Steve Englehart and Marshall Rogers did for the character.

Fantastic cover as well - I really wish Rogers did more issues but his short run on Detective is incredible.
