WWYD Bike Combo Dilemma
What would you do.
I’m looking at getting a new e-bike but not sure which way to go. My health hasn’t been great lately so I’m really feeling like I need the help to get out more.
Current set up
On-One Big Dog for my MTB
Jet BMX 24’ for pumptack (not used in over a year)
Diamondback dad bike for taking the kids out with a Swytch kit on it. However I definitely need more power taking my heavy self and two kids up hills.
Option 1
Cheaper emtb eg Rockrider E-Expl 140 (£1400) and keep the on-one for days out on my own and hopefully some Bikepacking overnighters.
My concern is that I’m not ever going to want to ride the analog bike if I’ve got an electric one sat there.
Option 2
Better e-bike eg rockrider E-Expel 520 (£2500). Will easily cover dad bike duties and mtb trails. I will definitely have to sell all my other bikes to stretch the budget to this one. However, might not have the range for Bikepacking and definitely not any good for the pump track.
