I'm considering adding a solar-to-grid charger, as I am generating more solar energy than I can use in the spring and fall months. Obviously I will consult with a city engineer, pull permits, etc.....but I was just curious if my meter will need to be swapped out. As shown in the photo the model is Cooper RFN420CL

I've read that if the meters aren't designed to read power flow in the opposite (FROM house, TO grid) direction, it will meter ALL flow (even negative) as usage (so I would get charged per kWh for energy I deliver TO the grid).
