Hi all,

I have just moved to the US from the UK and always wanted a F250 SD, been to look at some and pretty sure we have chosen a platinum. I would prefer a gas as we will do almost no towing but just want a comfy truck for long drives.

My question is our local dealer has found a 2026 in the colour we want but it is the 6.2, when I go to spec one online it now shows that only the 7.3 is available. It shows as well the 6.2 would be a 6 speed vs a 10 speed on the 7.3.

Is it worth specifying that I only want a 7.3 for future value? I know it won’t hold like a diesel but it just really isn’t needed for a daily driver.

Any advice would be really appreciated!
