Turns out fit and finish matter…
Posted this blade a little bit ago saying that I didn’t know how I felt about it. Well, I went ahead and took the time to go back and hand sand the blade and reblue it and now I love it! Took the blade from a 220 grit belt finish to 600 grit hand sanded satin finish and the results are much better! Included the photo from the previous post at the end for comparison.
