Meeting Men in Person
So, I'm (21F) on Hinge, and it's going about as horrendous as it's gone for many of you. Have any of you ever met people in person? If so, how did it go for you and how did you go about it?
Some context so y'all know what I'm working with. I'm pre-op, but in terms of passing I'm in that awkward in-between. Other trans women can easily clock me by voice, but I'm able to be stealth at work (fast food restaurant, most co-workers are foreign and have some trouble with english) and I've had experiences with men that definitely didn't clock me and never ended up finding out. I'll definitely have to disclose because I can't assume people will know.
I guess I'm just looking for advice for meeting men to date in person. Where do y'all go? Do you approach or let men approach you? Just, everything and anything. My only vague idea of where to start is to hit the gay bars, but a lot of the men there aren't into women and the one time I did get approached it was by someone who was in his late 40s.
