Professional Outfits with Compression

Hi,

I got an internship this summer at a pretty big company. They require their employees to wear business casual to professional attire. Prior to me being diagnosed I used to wear regular button down tops and flowy dress pants. Now being diagnosed I’m not sure what to wear anymore. I want to get the surgery so I have to show that I’m sticking to conservative treatments via compression attire. I’m plus sized, and I have meds that make me sweat so much. I’m afraid of bundling up in the summer with multiple layers. Have any of you guys gone through this? Please let me know your thoughts!

Thank you!

Hi!

I just started my journey trying to get insurance to pay for my upper arms liposuction. I was recently diagnosed with Lipedema, and I’m currently trying vasculera. I’ve always eaten healthy and gone to the gym. I’ve done strength training almost my whole life and yet I still gain fat. My arms are extremely flabby and they are my biggest insecurity. I wanted to ask what I need for insurance to get this covered by United healthcare. I’m 21 around 35 bmi and I have tried so many conservative treatments. I just never realized I had this disorder until now so I’m not sure how to prove that I’ve been working on it forever.

I called my insurance and they just told me to look at my claims and coverage which doesn’t help me. I was asking them what they specifically need from me and who they’d like me to see in network. He just hung up.

I’ve reached out to surgeons as well and I have a consult with Adam Schaffner next month. I just want to be extremely prepared so I can get this surgery ASAP. I feel like I was never given a chance to truly live life, despite always working so hard for it. Now seeing there is a way out I’m so excited, and I am literally jumping for joy. I am just as strong as my boyfriend and I can curl over 80lbs yet my muscles have never shown. I can’t wait for them to be visible.

Thank you

:)
