Shuna’s Capabilities and Wasted Potential
Hi there, long time fan of the series in all forms but first time on this Reddit so apologies if it’s been brought up already.
A thought hit me last night after brushing up on everyone’s skills, that Shuna is overwhelmingly underused. Even before gaining her ultimate skill which is like a Ciel-lite she has broken Unique and Extra Skills that allow her to basically understand Magic on a fundamental level nobody else in Rimuru’s service does (apart from the primordials to some extent).
She can basically create any spell and alter them to however she sees fit with exact precision (as we saw in recent anime episode if you’re anime only)
Has access to OP holy magic this way
She is limited by the writers imagination/the trope he’s put her in
For example, she’s an expert barrier creator, if there was an invasion she could create a barrier that instantly reaps the soul of any enemy stepping through that has an existence value lower than hers and feed to herself to further increase her strength.
We know this sort of spell is not in her nature as she’s the “Holy Princess” and the example-setter for Tempest, but it really bothers me as a fan of her skills and how she’s Tempests Diet Rimuru/Ciel with her Ultimate, that she isn’t utilized more in the conflicts Tempest face, even in a passive manner she could create buffing/debuffing and healing/cursing spells but is treated like she’s useless outside of morale despite being at least local deity/true demon lord level.
