Milim's sheer potential is crazy if you think about it.

Not only is Milim the only combatant in the entire series who didn't even receive a single powerup, when others like Zegion received tons, but she also never trained to get any stronger. She's still at the same level she was millennia ago, which shows how insanely high her base level actually is. Characters like Diablo, Zegion and Feldway all needed countless asspulls to get close to her level, while she is just built like that.

Now imagine if Milim actually took training seriously or if she got any powerups on her own. She would become absolutely unstoppable and only Rimuru could actually beat her at this point.

Tensura comparison to Overlord?

Hi,

Let me preface this by saying that I am not talking about which story is more enjoyable to a wider and bigger audience. From what I know, Tensura is a vastly more popular story than Overlord.

But I had a discussion some days ago with a Tensura fan that put Tensura at S-tier writing wise whereas he put Overlord below at a A tier.

Both tell a similar story where the MC was Isekaied, has godlike powers and their subordinates are absolutely loyal. Both are a type of nation building story and both are on their way to dominate the world they are in.

The guy I had the discussion with argued with all the literature awards, how prestigious they apparently are and how great the world building is.

To be fair, I have only watched the anime of Tensura and I enjoyed the first two seasons. However, I couldn't get invested enough and read the LN. Overlord however, did impress me so much that I picked up the LN.

My issue with Tensura is that it's not that deep. The MC, the world, the villains and side characters seem to be kind of superficial. I don't know where all the praise for great writing comes from.

The other thing is, for a nation building story, the geopolitics seem to be kind of weak and other nations aside from tempest are all just generic medieval european cities and are also not that deep. So I don't really see where the great world building is coming from. Overlord has the same kind of cities and kingdoms we see in a typical Isekai world but goes more in depth with every Kingdom the story visits. We discover many aspects of past Isekaied players influencing the world until the main story line.

From what I have heard, Tensura changes later to a shonen style of story with constant power ups and gaining reality warping skills. And the LN suffers from the "show not tell" issue where information is just narrated down and not told in an engaging way from the perspective of a character for example..

So to me, it is a kind of a delusional take to put Tensura above Overlord in terms of writing and world building.

Are these points valid or is the Anime adaption not doing the LN justice? Is there anybody here who has read both and can confirm or deny these arguments? If I couldn't get invested enough from the anime, would reading the LN change my mind?

Veldanava concept

Like what is Veldanava's core concept, we know other True dragons official concept:

Velzard = cessation lost

Velgrynd = acceleration

Veldora = chaos, wind & storm

Veldanava = ???

We never get any official details about the veldanava concept. Some of you Say creation or Star but light novels are never explicitly explained about. So..., does anyone have the correct answer or opinion about it.

Is the rimuru concept = nilhity or hope ??? (Correct me if I'm wrong)

I was NOT familiar with Diablo's game (Vol. 13 spoilers)

Finally entering the war arc, the strength dynamics have been completely flipped on their heads. You have no clue how strong the enemies are, and no clue how much grow the forces of Tempest have made. I've always glazed Diablo since day one, but recently he hasn't had any action outside of washing Rain (bleu) and comments about him being weak to insects like Razul and Zegion.

AND THEN, this guy pulls up two the Armored Corps Command Center with the BODIES of two single digits?! The same people that Benimaru and CHLOE were struggling against.

I've felt that until recently (~Rosso arc ending) that Diablo was stronger Rimuru, but is it fair to say they might be equal as tempest's strongest right now?

Who else dislikes Shion's Cleavage?

Shion is somewhat a fan-service character, I get that. But it gets to a point. The anime genuinely undercuts Shion's character for some bounces in places where it is not just unnecessary but harmful to the plot. I'm rewatching Suphia vs Shion, and at this point in the story this fight was genuinely a serious fight, or it would be if Shion's boobs weren't in the way. I like Shion's character, I think there is a depth to her character that is massively underrated. Although I know her character's depth probably won't be expanded upon and that the fanservice is probably why, I can accept the frequent fan service, but the fan service mid-fight is where I draw the line. I don't think anyone here likes the fanservice, because making fan service mid-fight brings up uncomfortable angles. Like during dynamic shots, her breasts gets long as hell, sacrificing impact frame budget for long boob fanservice is crazy.

How useful is the Dungeon in the real world?

It has 100 floors and no one can die in it so it has high training soldier capabilities right off the bat.

But what are other useful things it does ?

I have some ideas about what it can do but I don't know if it can be done or not so here what it can do in theory are:-

  1. Easy Agriculture Production of all kinds

  2. Make resources like coal, petroleum, metals etc

  3. Forest area

  4. All kinds of fruits farm.

  5. Automatic domestic cattle food growth

These are some of my favourite things it can do but there are something that I'm confused about like:-

  1. Can temperature be adjusted?

  2. Does it have like open area with it's own and area ?

  3. If it can connect to any area with doors?

  4. If connected to water source can it be made into river or falls?

What do you think of other useful things that can be done with dungeon?

Volume 23

So what's the deal with Guy and Velzard in Volume 23. Are they a couple or did Guy leave it ambiguous.
