I'm planning to start reading the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Tensura) light novels. I've watched the anime up to the latest episode, but instead of continuing from where the anime leaves off, I want to start from Volume 1 and experience the whole story from the beginning.

I have two questions for light novel readers:

1. On average, how long does it take you to finish one volume of Tensura?

2. When you're reading a light novel series, do you spend most of your free time reading, or do you balance reading with other hobbies, such as watching anime or other shows?

Now that I’ve finished the Solo Leveling: Ragnarok web novel, I’m curious about how everyone would rank all the Monarchs based on their overall power.

Ragnarok introduces several new Monarchs and successors, but many of them seem to be less experienced than the original Monarchs. So I’m wondering how the new information from Ragnarok changes the overall ranking.

My current ranking would be:

1. Sung Jinwoo

2. Sung Suho

I was wondering: which type of sword do you think best represents the classic fictional hero? Something that heroes traditionally use and that immediately gives off that “hero” feeling.

I’m planning to start reading The Rising of the Shield Hero manga from the very beginning. Once I catch up to the latest manga chapter, I want to continue the story by switching to the light novel.

So, my question is: which light novel volume should I start with after finishing the manga’s latest chapter?

I’d really appreciate it if someone could point me to the correct volume (and preferably the chapter) so I can continue without missing anything.

Okay, I just had a crazy idea for how ordinary humans in the Solo Leveling world could become stronger and actually have a chance against beings from other dimensions.

The first method is pretty straightforward: use Magic Stones as ammunition. Basically, process the energy inside the stones and use specially designed weapons to fire that energy at monsters or other enemies.

But the second idea is much more interesting.

What if they turned Magic Stones into a high-quality magical fertilizer and used them on agricultural fields?

The plants could potentially absorb the energy from the stones through their roots and convert or store that energy inside their tissues. Then, by improving the plants through selective breeding or genetic modification, you could theoretically create crops that are much better at absorbing and storing magical energy.

Humans could then consume these plants—or use substances extracted from them—and gradually introduce that energy into their own bodies.

In other words:

Magic Stones → Magical Fertilizer → Plants absorb magical energy → Enhanced crops → Humans consume them → Human bodies accumulate magical energy → Awakening

We can also say something like devil fruit from one piece

Maybe specialized labs would be needed to refine the stones into something plants could actually absorb, and the plants themselves might need to be genetically improved to handle the energy.

And yes, I realize this is completely fictional 😂. Whether it actually works depends entirely on how the author decides the Solo Leveling power system works.

But I study Soil Fertility and Plant Nutrition at university, so when I started thinking about how plants absorb nutrients and transform them into biological material, I couldn't stop thinking:

"Wait... couldn't they do something like this with Magic Stones?" 😂

Sung Jin-Woo is one of my favorite fictional characters, and this is why.

I really like characters like the Punisher—characters who actively hunt down evil and make their city or society safer. I enjoy protagonists who are heroes, but at the same time aren't overly soft or naive when it comes to villains.( Like lookism MC )

I don't really like the type of hero who defeats an obviously evil villain, gives them another chance, and then lets them get away to cause more problems later.( Like Daniel letting a human trafficking organisation get away do there job after defeat)

What I like about Jin-Woo is that he's willing to get his own hands dirty when necessary. If someone is genuinely evil and poses a threat to innocent people, he doesn't hesitate to deal with them.

Basically, I like characters who can be heroes while still being ruthless toward genuine evil. They protect innocent people, but they aren't afraid to deliver their own form of justice when the situation calls for it.

That's a big part of why Sung Jin-Woo is so satisfying to watch/read for me.

I also really like how Jin-Woo goes from being an extremely weak, low-level hunter to one of the strongest characters in the world. I know the System plays a huge role in his growth, but he still puts in an incredible amount of hard work, training, and effort to take advantage of that opportunity.

I really enjoy watching that kind of progression, from being at the bottom to becoming one of the strongest.

Hello everyone! I’m currently reading the Solo Leveling: Ragnarok web novel, and I’ve reached the part where I understand what Kira is doing,hunting down villains. Honestly, Kira has become my favorite shadow soldier because of this.

There was one villain whose crimes were explained, and apparently he kidnapped men to harvest and sell their organs, while the women were sold to brothels.

The organ trafficking part sounds pretty realistic to me, but the part about selling women to brothels made me think. Wouldn’t that basically be human trafficking and slavery? I know prostitution and human trafficking are taken pretty seriously in Korea.

To be clear, I’m talking about the Korea in the Solo Leveling universe, not real-world Korea. From what we see in the series, Korea seems to have pretty strict laws and a functioning government, so I’m wondering how criminals could realistically get away with something on this scale.

Hey everyone, I’m currently reading Solo Leveling: Ragnarok and I’m around chapter 210 of the web novel. I’m really enjoying it so far!

I haven’t read the manhwa yet, but from what I’ve seen, the adaptation looks really good. For those who have read both, how does the manhwa compare to the web novel?

Is the manhwa adaptation just as good as the web novel up to the latest chapters, or do you think it’s even better? Are there any major differences between the two?

If every S-Class hero received God’s powers and became a Cosmic Avatar, who do you think would rise the most in the rankings?

Personally, I think Atomic Samurai could become MUCH stronger than his current version. His biggest weakness is his physical stats, not his technique. He’s arguably one of the most technically skilled fighters in the series, and if you gave him cosmic-level stats, God powers, and something like a cosmic sword, I think his potential could be insane.

Do you think Atomic Samurai could potentially surpass some of the other S-Class heroes if his physical limitations were removed? Which heroes do you think would benefit the most from becoming Cosmic Avatars?

During the first season, I never really hated Rudeus. In fact, I actually liked him at certain points, especially when he saved the beast children from slavery and killed the slavers responsible. At that point, I thought he was someone who clearly opposed slavery.

However, my opinion completely changed in the second season.

What really disgusted me was how casually the idea of buying a slave was introduced. They entered the slave market as if they were going to a supermarket to buy a snack. They calmly looked around, chose the specific slave they wanted, bought her, and simply left. What bothered me even more was that Rudeus never seemed particularly concerned about the other slaves being sold there. He was willing to buy one specific slave, but apparently had no problem leaving everyone else behind.

I also heard that later in the light novel, Rudeus never really takes a strong stance against slavery or tries to free large numbers of slaves. On top of that, I later came across statements attributed to the author suggesting that Rudeus believes slaves are not necessarily less happy as slaves than they would be otherwise, and that he does not view slavery itself as inherently evil.

If that interpretation is accurate, then it makes the whole situation even worse for me .

And this not only about Rudy every character that believe slavery is ok and acceptable in there mind and being natural towards slavery I hate them , especially for someone who came from our modern world.

Is he consider himself a good guy that must save every one , even if the one he saves gonna start to enslave other people , like I don't like it , helping a human trafficking organization to survive, I really hate it

Feel free to comper the light novel too if you want but what I heard is anime cut many details, so how good the manga adopted the light novel?
