It's been 4 seasons and I still can't stand that piece of trash of Aultcray, only by seeing him on screen. I just wished that Naofumi would have punched that racist royal scumbag in the face already.

I'm not gonna lie. I really wished that Naofumi would have punched this royal scumbag, piece of trash (pun intended) of Aultcray numerous times, or at least one time, but with an extremely strong hit over his hateful and disgusting face, right after he cleared his name and took away from "Trash" all of his power, status, reputation, respect, influences, royal position and privileges, and even his previous official name for good. After all the insults, disrespect, and dirty, underhanded and cowardly tricks to threaten him and conspire against him to get rid of him.

I just really cannot stand this delusional, insufferable and hypocritical racist old timer, even after he became a powerless slave/peasant looking man between S3 and S4, and a laughingstock of his previous self. Being only allowed to walk around the most hidden and unpleasant parts of his own castle, hiding from the public eye who no longer respects him nor fears him anymore. Although "Trash" wasn't an actual sadistic psychopath who only cares for himself like Malty, with him actually caring for his family at least, even in a very twisted way, and at least he also showed some signs of being redeemable from his reckless and radical way of thinking (unlike Malty/"B1tch"), he is still a massive sociopathic parasite. Because he was the one responsible to spoil that b1tch of Malty so much to begin with, turning her into the pathologic liar and manipulator that we know. Creating a "demon" much worse than the one who thought he was the real threat to lose his family, meaning Naofumi. Turning himself also into this delusional and racist royal scumbag who discriminated and disrespected Naofumi unfairly every time he could, while using every single excuse and conspiracy to make Naofumi's journey the most miserable and insufferable as possible, while giving him less to nothing of rewards, attempting to take away the few people that were on his side and to get rid of him at some point.

I also can't believe that Naofumi never told Fohl and Atla in S3 who Aultcray really was and all the awful things that he and his knights did to him, Raphtalia and the demi-humans in Melromarc. Because it was so annoying and irritating how oblivious Fohl and Atla were when they were talking with the man who used to be one of the worst and tyrannical royal human scumbags who treated their own species like dirt and as a sub-human race, who also intensified the persecution and slavery against demi-humans by supporting that fascist cult of the "3 Heroes Church". If Fohl and Atla would have known that, they would have NEVER acted so friendly towards that piece of garbage, nor seeing him as their uncle or related to them in any other way, even if they were genuinely related by blood; they would have never been so gentle with him, like when they gave him a homemade style food to that despicable monster later in S4, and Fohl would have definitely punched that sh1t-face after everything that he and his sister had to suffer as slaves.

I also discovered very recently that in the novels, after Mirellia caught Aultcray "red-handed" trying to conspire against Naofumi one more time almost at the end of S1, even after he just lost his entire royal position and resources to make another complot against Naofumi successful, Mirellia actually forced "Trash" to run through the castle in his underwear, making him wear a collar that hurt him if he spoke, if he was only going to badmouth the Shield Hero, so he can keep his mouth shut every time that he sees him, along with other stuff to make "Trash" suffer for not learning his lesson. I actually made a LARGER post explaining why I cannot forgive Aultcray as a character in the series for all of his crimes against the demi-humans, especially if I was in Naofumi or Raphtalia's shoes. I also mentioned that I wished that Aultcray would have turned into an actual prisoner or even a slave, instead of the Staff Hero or being involved in anything related to the Melromarc kingdom, or the waves, or the 4 main heroes, doing some forced labor that it can actually benefit the reconstruction of Ludorona, as its medieval fantasy version of "community service", while suffering poor treatment and working in terrible conditions constantly, but not enough to kill that bastard, so he will feel what it's like to be treated like garbage ironically, with everyone being extremely hostile to him unfairly, like he did to Naofumi. But that information about Aultcray being treated in that awful way by Mirellia, it actually makes me feel more relieved and satisfied to know that "Trash" actually suffered some physical torment, like an actual prisoner and even almost as a slave too, specially after everything that he did to Naofumi, Raphtalia and the demi-humans. Such a shame that we never saw that in the anime, because I thought that Mirellia just left Aultcray to move freely around the most hidden and unpleasant parts of the castle only, while making him wear a peasant/slave looking outfit just as her way to "punish" him after she caught him "red-handed" comploting against Naofumi again.

But even if their reasons to hide the truth to Fohl and Atla about Aultcray's true identity was to make him redeem himself to make him finally open his eyes about how heavily wrong he was towards Naofumi as the Shield Hero and the demi-humans, he is still a massive parasite and a racist scumbag who refused to take any kind of responsibility for all of his atrocities, and those white tigers are too good for a despicable monster like "Trash".

Why not one for Filo?

Doing a rewatch in anticipation for season 5 and was wondering why they didn’t make a Shikigami for Filo? Is everyone limited to one or something? Because I’m sure Naofumi has some of her feathers in his shield, could’ve made finding her way easier.

Is Shield hero considered a successful anime as of now?

I really love Rising of the shield hero, it was my first real anime along SAO, granted, season 2 was a bit rough, but hey, the manga exists for a reason, and S3 and 4 have long since redeemed it in my eyes, and now that Season 5 is on the way, I'm pretty excited, but also a bit afraid, since I really want it to get a complete adaptation so we can see the full story in our lifetimes

Naofumi's Brother: The Skipped Backstory That Proves He Wasn't a "Loser" NEET (And the Insane Narrative Parallel with Myne)

I love The Rising of the Shield Hero, but as a story, I feel like they missed some massive opportunities regarding Naofumi's backstory. The hate this anime gets is incredibly exaggerated, especially when you look at the core of who Naofumi actually is—something the anime barely touches on.

  1. Naofumi Was NEVER a Loser/NEET A lot of Isekai protagonists are shut-ins seeking a second chance at life. Naofumi wasn’t. Before being summoned, he literally saved his younger brother from becoming a delinquent by redirecting his energy into gaming and otaku culture. He lived independently, provided for himself, and was a responsible, caring older brother. Why did the anime gloss over this? This backstory perfectly explains his paternal/protective nature towards Raphtalia and Filo, and his later desire to study medicine. He was always a savior.

  2. The Insane Parallel Between Naofumi and (Myne) Did anyone else notice this crazy symmetry? Both Naofumi and Malty grew up in families where the younger sibling was favored (Naofumi's brother and Melty). However, look at how they handled it: Naofumi supported and saved his brother, while Malty became a manipulative monster who literally tried to >! assassinate her sister for power !<

Despite all the pressure and the betrayal, Naofumi’s core goodness never changed.

3**. Imagine Campfire Scene with Raphtalia** Imagine a quiet scene by the campfire where Naofumi tells Raphtalia about his little brother. Or what if the villains actually kidnapped his brother from his original world, forcing Naofumi to react? If Raphtalia knew about his past, she would realize that Malty’s betrayal didn’t fundamentally change him—he was always someone who protected those under his care. Their dynamic is already beautiful: He rejects the kingdom's normalization of slavery by treating her as an equal, and she rejects the kingdom's false assault accusations against him. Just look at the emotional weight of scenes like this: [https://youtu.be/RsHykPDXRnA\]

  1. The Exaggerated Hate & The "Disney+" Double Standard The moral panic surrounding this show is absurd. People act like it’s the most offensive piece of media ever created. Meanwhile, a platform like Disney+ streams an heavly and disturbing show like Tengoku Daimakyo uncensored. If we're being honest, Shield Hero is basically a bedtime story😄😂

compared to the dark themes in Tengoku Daimakyo. Yet, the anime community completely turns a blind eye to one while constantly trying to cancel the other.

  1. The Bizarre Production Choices A lot of the current issues stem from terrible production choices, not the core story. People are jealous that we are getting a Season 5 (with Overlord or 86 fans constantly hating on us), but they forget how mishandled the anime was. For Season 2, Kadokawa literally brought in the director of The Quintessential Quintuplets (a harem anime) to direct a Dark Fantasy story! No wonder the tone shifted and alienated the original fans.

For me i think s1 was 9/10 due to bad adaption https://www.reddit.com/r/shieldbro/s/LOX8W1ajir

But still it wasn't that bad like s2 adpation https://www.reddit.com/r/shieldbro/s/HXToEmyxxK

  1. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this: \
  • Do you think the anime ruined Naofumi's character by ignoring his relationship with his brother?

+ Why do you think the anime community forgives the bad adaptation in other popular shows but completely crucifies Shield Hero?

If the infamous "B1tch"/Malty actually appears in SEASON 5, do you think that we are gonna see her extremely deformed and with very ugly scars all over her body and face, especially after how Motoyasu brutally attacked her in Season 4?

Motoyasu might have been an incompetent idiot for not fully finishing that infamous, despicable, disgusting, two-face, treacherous, emotionless and sadistic psychopath of Malty "The Porky B1tch" right there and then, before the end of Season 4. But man, I would be lying if I don't say that it was SO SATISFYING seeing that b1tch of Malty being brutally hurt by Motoyasu, especially by knowing that she was still alive, will handling all that pain and agony that Motoyasu caused her. For all the awful things that she did to Naofumi and even to the glorified trio of buffoons. Personally, it was the moment that I enjoyed watching the most in Season 4, more than seeing Naofumi and his party defeating those cheap and more forgettable copies of "Trash" and "B1tch" (meaning Jaralis and Makina respectively).

I sometimes feel like the only one who thinks the anime never fell off after season 1

Yeah, season 2 was a mess, but after that, it got better and recovered for me, in fact, i like where the story was heading after season 1 and just wanted more. I think a studio change hurt the show's reputation a bit.

You'll Love This If You Don't Have Anything After Finishing The LN Of The Rising Of The Shield Hero

So if you're looking for a story that has the same kind of love story just like naofumi and raphtalia had but with better writing then i swear you'll love this series!

I kinda finished this series way before i started watching the shield hero anime and no this story doesn't follow the same path as the shield hero (coz i don't want you to think that it's just a rip off of naofumi and raphtalia's story, which it isn't)

Fun fact:- (this series shares the same universe as freiren😳)

Bonus fact:- there's a famous wholesome romance anime that just ripped off this series character and situation in it (i would address that later✌️)

So the name of the series is "Uchi no Musume no Tame naraba, Ore wa Moshikashitara Maou mo Taoseru kamo Shirenai" (If It's for My Daughter, I'd Even Defeat a Demon Lord) and no it doesn't have any lewd or make you uncomfortable scenes at all I swear! (Released in 2015 and ended in 2019 with total 9 vol)

Story synopsis:-

This story is about an adventurer dale (17 years) who stays away from his home to fulfill his clan's duty and he's living a miserable and dreadful life like even if he dies today in anyways he's not gonna regret😿 and one day when he's doing a adventure quest in a forest he met a demon girl named latina (8 years) her one horn was torn apart (which means she was a criminal as demon tribe rules), her clothes were dirty and she looked so weak to harm anyone so dale understand that something bad happened with her and after he approaches her he gets to know that his father died in the process of saving her so after giving his father a proper funeral he ask her that she wants to come with him? (Coz in this world humans and demons have beef between them so just think if he leaves her there what's gonna happen with her) And after that the real story starts yes this was just episode one's starting summary!

Relationship:- (no this series doesn't have unnecessary love triangles or situationship at all)

This series is just a peak example of how to write an Isekai age gap romance without adding unnecessary things!

It wasn't dale who wanted this relationship in the first place it was latina, when dale saved her and they started living together she developed feelings for him (this has deep meaning in the series you'll get it when you read the novels) he never laid a hand on her in any creepy way he was the kindest person for her!

And also the author just showed us very beautifully that it was so painful for her to see that dale didn't understand her feelings coz she knows they have that age gap between them but is it wrong that she wants a different relationship with him🥺 (and no she didn't confess her feelings not until she get matured enough, as i said this series is just so wholesome)

at some point their relationship gave me eren and mikasa vibe (from attack on titan) coz >!eren would die early coz of the titan power but mikasa have to live alone after that!< and why I'm addressing that coz latina is a demon who lives more than humans do and humans have little life spawn in comparison of demon so now do you understand latina shares the same fate like mikasa which makes this story more sad😢

And if you're still thinking how could MC fall in love with her coz if they spend so much time with each other then again just read the novels they took plenty of time between that part and their relationship started changing little by little after that, that part was so wholesome on another level🥰

Just put the title name aside coz it doesn't have to do anything with the story and watch season 1 of the anime, just keep this in mind what information I gave you and i swear this series will be your next fav! (Coz it became my fav one even after I knew about their relationship)

And then start reading the light novels which have only 9 vol and every light novel is under 200 chapters so you'll finish it very quickly coz i finished it in 1 week!

What was the reason b*tch and trash framed the mc for

I've only seen the anime and I still couldn't understand why they did it can someone from the LNs explain it for me

Raphtalia doesn't let anyone disrespect her man 🧡❤️‍🩹💚

Honestly, though, I missed that aspect;

Raphtalia served as Naofumi's moral compass.

She would hold him back whenever he was about to make a mistake—she wasn't just a carbon copy of the hero.

She is amazing

For example, when the townspeople were thanking the other three useless heroes, Naofumi wanted to leave them to suffer the consequences, but Raphtalia was the one who told him "No" and talked him out of it. The dynamic between the hero and the heroine is fantastic

Raphtalia knows full well that Naofumi is a kind person and that it was only the world that changed his personality; she helps him on a beautiful journey of healing. This is certainly not the case with the web novel; by the end of it, I didn't feel that Naofumi had truly recovered from the betrayal.

i feel like this anime has NO AUTHOR

Only kadokawa editors

and designer of charcter Seira Minami

I love stories like this. The first season is a masterpiece, even if there were some issues with the adaptation. 🙂

This is the situation with the first season,

so imagine 😂

What about next seasons 😆
