Whats the strangest thing to happen to an anime during its adaptation?

For me one of the strangest is the Heaven's lost property final movie eternal my master which is canon doesnt have an ending but abruptly stops. Instead in the blue ray special features the VAs voiced the final chapter. Not to mention the skip/changed content from the anime.

The only thing stranger I can think of is Negima having an anime original end not adapting the last 2 arcs among skipping random important chapters which was unsatisfying, then getting another anime that is Negima!? That has nothing to do with the manga. Then gets OVAs that skips the 2nd last arc and does random chapters from the final arc but not an ending. Then a movie that people say is a better conclusion to the Manga that helps compliment it. Then does a sequel series that it doesnt finish either.

If I got anything wrong let me know but these two is fine crazy. Also not sure if i titled this post right but hopefully my explanation makes sense on other strange anime adaption stories that I want to hear.

Which Spring 2026 Season Anime was your favorite?

I just finished watching most of the anime in the spring season that ended a few days ago. My top is: 1. Wistoria 2. Re:Zero 3. Witch Hat Atelier. Many other good ones as well. Stacked season imo. Also my ranking could change once Re:Zero will finish.

How does Iruma HAVE SO MUCH AURA?! (read desc.)

Okay, this question is mainly for people who have watched Demon School, BUT WHY DOES A CINNAMON ROLL HAVE SO MUCH AURA?! Legitimately man accidentally farming and spitting game like it's no biggie WHILST STILL BEING A SWEET ROLL OF AN INNOCENT LAD. and to anyone unfamiliar with the show I'd be happy to explain what i mean and discuss a bit about stuff like this.

Which anime character do you think is incredibly well-written but not very entertaining? (Image unrelated )

This question randomly came to mind but I genuinely couldn't think of a good answer myself.

So I'm curious who would you pick and why?

Looking for a completed anime with a happy ending to help me through a rough phase

I'm going through a rough phase mentally undergoing treatment and everything feels tasteless and I'm looking for an anime that I can genuinely get immersed in. I don't necessarily want something that's very deep or philosophical—I just want a series that keeps me engaged, makes me smile, and gives me something to look forward to every day.

For example, I know Vinland Saga is highly praised, but it's just not my type. I found it a bit slow and wasn't able to connect with it.

I'm looking for something that has a bit of everything:

  • Great characters you get attached to
  • Adventure
  • Action
  • Comedy
  • Emotional moments
  • Friendships and rivalries
  • Some romance is a bonus, but not the main focus
  • A fun world that you want to keep exploring

I'm also open to rom-coms, as long as there's more to them than just romance.

A few important requirements:

  • Must be fully completed. I don't want ongoing anime because I always end up switching to the manga, binge-reading it, and completely ruining my study schedule through procrastination.
  • Happy or at least satisfying ending. I'm already going through a difficult time, so I'd rather avoid tragic or bittersweet endings if possible.
  • I'd prefer something around 12–50 episodes, but if it's longer and consistently great, I'm happy to watch it.

I've already watched most of the popular series like One Piece, Black Clover, and many other well-known anime, so I'd really appreciate some underrated or lesser-known recommendations.

Please let me know why you recommend a series (without spoilers). Thanks!

Guess I'm the only younger fan who likes and enjoys older anime like Eureka Seven

This tweet seriously pisses me off. As a 22 year old who's been watching more and more anime recently, I love and enjoy old and modern shows. I've watched more in my adult years than my childhood and teen years and though I do feel kinda upset that I didn't watch much when I was younger, especially older stuff, I still managed to finish as many shows as I can over two years at this point. I like almost any genre and watch almost anything and this sort of gatekeeping makes me mad honestly. That said, it makes me angry when someone says it's a tragedy when they didn't grow up with x or y show, like they can still watch it for crying out loud as adults. Heck, I watched all the shows listed in that aforementioned tweet as an adult.

If every anime character suddenly had to live by real-world laws for a week, who would be arrested first?

Do you watch anime Openings/Endings?

I generally don't watch openings/endings, mostly because I don't see the point of them. I appreciate the effort that goes into making them, but I'd rather get to the show as soon as I can. I have watched maybe 4 different openings/endings, mostly out of curiosity, but never more than once. "See You Tomorrow at the Food Court" (Image Source) is one of recent memory that I rather enjoyed, and I can't remember the others since it's been so long since I last watched one.

What about you? Do you watch them? If so, I'm genuinely curious as to why. Also feel free to share your favorites.
