What’s the general opinion on Luz as a protagonist?

I’m genuinely curious because I’ve never really seen a clear consensus on her.

Personally, I don’t have a problem with her, but I always assumed more people would dislike her because of the whole accidentally helping Belos situation, kind of like how a lot of people criticize Korra for the Unalaq stuff in The Legend of Korra. The Owl House also got rushed near the end, so some parts of Luz’s development felt a little uneven to me.

Still, I think her heart and intentions carry the character a lot. I just wanted to know how the fandom views her overall nowadays.

Finally watched “All Hell Breaks Loose” for the 25th anniversary, and honestly… I can’t hide how disappointed I am.

I knew what happened to Prue going in, but the episode still shocked me — not because it was emotional, but because of how fast and rushed everything felt. For such a huge moment in Charmed, there was barely any dramatic finality. No real goodbye, no last words, no emotional sendoff between the sisters. Prue just… dies. And Phoebe isn’t even there.

What makes it hit harder is that Prue’s penultimate episode was literally the one where she turns into a dog 😭 It feels strange knowing that was basically one of her last major stories before everything changed forever.

I also find it bittersweet that Shannen Doherty directed the episode herself. Maybe there were plans up in the air at the time, maybe nobody knew exactly how things would end behind the scenes, but the result feels less like a grand tragic exit and more like the story suddenly slamming into a wall.

It’s especially unfortunate because Prue had so much potential left. There was even that future episode with blonde Prue, and later on the comics had her possessing a blonde woman, which honestly feels like the kind of weird supernatural storyline the show could’ve explored onscreen someday.

Still, one thing I’ll give Season 4 credit for: the show didn’t instantly act like nothing happened. They actually let the loss sit for a while before Paige became fully integrated into the family dynamic, and I appreciated that.

Maybe I’m in the minority, but for one of the most iconic episodes of Charmed, I expected something way more emotionally complete.

Hi everyone, the Read Comics Online has been taken down. If you know any other sites so I can read the Bone comics online for free with the quality that is as good as RCO, that would be nice.

I need an idea for a Lan Fan fan art.

Lan Fan is my favorite FMA character and I really wish she got more screen time and fan art 😭

I originally wanted to make some huge detailed illustration of her, but lately I’ve been leaning more toward something simpler and more focused. Does anyone have cool Lan Fan fan art ideas/scenes/concepts I could draw?

Could be emotional, badass, slice-of-life, symbolic, anything honestly. I just want to give her some attention because she deserves way more love.

I never thought Gohan was a terrible character at all.

I feel like a lot of people only really care about his “badass” moments — mainly SSJ2 Teen Gohan and Beast Gohan — because battle anime fans usually prioritize hype fights over everything else. That’s also why so many people prefer Future Gohan. He’s basically nonstop tragedy and action.

But what makes main timeline Gohan interesting to me is that he doesn’t want to be Goku 2.0. Him wanting to become a scholar while only fighting to protect the people he loves actually gives him more personality than just “I love fighting.” He feels more human because he’s constantly torn between his Saiyan power and the peaceful life he genuinely wants.

Do I think he was wasted at times? Absolutely. The series fumbled him more than once. But honestly, even his mistakes and inconsistency make him interesting to talk about. He’s flawed in a way that feels believable.

That said… Great Saiyaman still kinda sucks to me. 😭 It felt unnecessary.

I really want to ask something.

I finally caught up with the ending of Black Clover, and honestly I just need to vent about Grey for a second.

Grey was one of my favorite characters from the start because she had so much potential emotionally and magically. Her backstory was brutal, her self-esteem issues felt real, and her transformation magic had some genuinely interesting possibilities. But by the end, it feels like she got completely sidelined.

What frustrates me most is the Gauche situation. From my perspective, Grey spent the entire series loving someone who barely showed romantic interest back. Gauche’s whole personality revolved around Marie, and I genuinely can’t remember many moments where he clearly treated Grey like someone he loved romantically. Maybe I missed scenes, but it never felt emotionally earned to me.

And on top of that, Grey barely got to grow socially either. It always felt like she stayed isolated and insecure even inside the Black Bulls. A lot of the squad had strong friendships and development, while Grey mostly stayed “the shy girl who heals/supports people.”

Her magic also feels underused. Early on, her transformation ability seemed like it could evolve into something insanely creative or powerful, but instead she mostly became support/healer utility. Nothing wrong with support characters, but it feels disappointing when that’s all a character becomes after so much setup.

I’m not even trying to hate on the ending. I just feel like Grey deserved more agency, more confidence, stronger bonds with the squad, and maybe a relationship that actually felt developed on both sides.

Anyone else feel this way about her character arc?

Genuine question for cartoon fans: why do queer couples in animated shows still make some people so uncomfortable?

I mentioned liking Julerose in a Miraculous discussion, and some people acted like that alone was a problem. I’m not trying to start drama — I’m honestly curious how people view queer ships/couples in cartoons nowadays.

Do you see them as normal representation, forced representation, good storytelling, bad storytelling, or something else?

I want to ask something…

I’ve always wondered something about Dawn from Pokémon D&P. A lot of fans rank her as one of Ash’s best companions, and I even saw people rank her as the best female character in the anime.

I definitely get that she had a strong personal arc with Contests, her confidence struggles, and her development throughout Sinnoh. But at the same time, the main D&P storyline didn’t really revolve around her the way some other companions were tied more directly into the central plot.

So what do you think makes Dawn stand out so much compared to the other companions? Is it mainly her chemistry with Ash, her character development, her rivalry/story arcs, or something else?

I need an idea for something to draw.

Hey everypony! 🐴✨

I’m looking for something to draw, so feel free to throw me your ideas, OCs, scenes, ships, funny moments, anything really!

Also, I just wanna say I’m genuinely glad I became an MLP fan/brony. Growing up, it kinda felt like guys were expected to avoid anything “girly,” and I thought a show centered around friendship would get mocked the same way people clown on the “Power of Friendship” trope in other series. But honestly? The MLP community has been way more welcoming and creative than I expected, and I’m really happy I gave the show a chance.

Anyway — hit me with drawing ideas! 💖

I want to discuss something…

People complain that GT, Daima, or Super are just “Goku Time” or “the Goku and Vegeta show,” but honestly… hasn’t Dragon Ball always been like that?

Even in original Dragon Ball, Goku was usually the solution to everything. He defeated the Red Ribbon Army basically by himself and later defeated King Piccolo too. Most side characters rarely got actual victories.

The Saiyan Saga already showed this problem. Four Z-Fighters died, and outside of Vegeta, only Goku really landed meaningful damage on the main villains. Then in Namek/Frieza, Vegeta did most of the killing while Goku was still the one who ultimately mattered in the final battle.

People say Z gave everyone time to shine, but did it really? In the Android/Cell Saga, while Goku was sick, most of the cast barely accomplished anything. Chiaotzu sat out entirely, Yamcha and Tien mostly existed to stall, and even Piccolo’s big moments didn’t change the outcome. Vegeta beating Android 19 is treated as a huge moment, but Vegeta himself points out that 19 was weak. Then Goku fights Cell, gives up, and the story passes everything to Gohan.

And even Gohan beating Cell is debated by fans because people still credit Goku and Vegeta for helping him win.

The Buu Saga honestly continues the same trend. Gohan gets nerfed early on, Videl loses badly almost immediately, and most characters are unable to do anything meaningful against Buu. In the end, Goku is still the one who defeats the final villain.

Even the movies are mostly “Goku Time” too. The one movie that actually shifts focus away from him, Bio-Broly, is hated by a lot of fans, which honestly feels contradictory.

So I don’t really think GT, Super, or Daima invented this problem. Dragon Ball has almost always centered heavily around Goku, with other characters mostly getting temporary spotlight moments rather than true long-term relevance.

Hey everyone, I’m looking for cartoon/anime recommendations, and I’m open to any genre—but I’m hoping for something that really checks a few specific boxes. I’d really appreciate detailed answers explaining why your recommendation fits, not just titles.

Here’s what I’m looking for:

• Animation quality:
Something consistently solid and visually appealing—not just flashy for the sake of it, but well-executed overall.

• Character & world design:
Thoughtful, appealing designs. If there are transformations or changes over time, they should feel satisfying rather than underwhelming.

• Storyline:
A strong, well-written story that’s actually complete (not canceled). Ideally, characters—especially the main cast—get meaningful development throughout.

• Pacing:
Balanced pacing. Not too slow or dragged out, but not rushed either—something that keeps a steady, engaging rhythm.

• Music / soundtrack:
A strong score that enhances emotional moments and fits the tone of the show.

• Female characters:
This is a big one for me. I’m looking for series where female characters are well-written, competent, and genuinely liked, not constantly criticized for poor writing or inconsistency.

For reference, I know shows like Avatar: The Last Airbender and Adventure Time often get recommended, but I’ve seen a lot of mixed opinions on characters like Katara or Princess Bubblegum—so I’m hoping for suggestions where the character writing (especially for female characters) is more consistently well-received.

Thanks in advance—looking forward to your recommendations and explanations!
