Would you recommend Fruits Basket to those who love Hey Arnold?

Both shows are about a kindhearted orphan who goes out of their way to solve problems, both have empathy as a main aspect, both have a character who's harsh on the outside but nice on the inside and is closest to the main character. Both also are ones that deal with deep, heavy and traumatic issues.

Anime recommendations for my mom…

Help, my mom came up to me and asked what anime she could watch, but I'm sure that many anime I know have sexualized characters and dirty scenes, I need something that doesn't contain that, the genre isn't really important, the main thing is that the anime itself is interesting! i hope for help…

I want an anime like more than a married couple but not quite lovers

I love the show and the romance vibe and I want more of it but all the recommendations I see are not what I’m looking for. I love the slice of life and ecchi kinda vibe but I like the living together part but not required. I can’t seem to find the exact vibe I’m going for when watching these other shows. The popular girl shy guy kinda thing is cool as well.

Which of these fantasy anime should I watch next?

Am in the mood for fantasy, specifically those similar to my favorites:

Made in abyss, jobless reincarnation, danmachi, re zero, rising of shield hero, SAO, black clover, overlord

Fast paced with action, maybe some psychological elements, and traditional fantasy with loads of cool races such as elves and dwarves

Here is what I am thinking of watching next, but don’t know which to choose. Am also open to suggestions which are similar to those mentioned above:

Seraph of the end, log horizon, eminence is shadow, chained soldier, fate series, no game no life, gate, arifureta, cautious hero, grimgar, water magician

Recommending Mob psycho 100 anime

I recommend to this anime to anyone who loves watching shonen genre and haven't seen this one you are missing a absolute gem 💎 (shonen+comedy)

Are there any fantasy type isekai/shonen in which the mc uses a gun?

the anime has to have some type of fantasy power system, (magic, nen, spiritual pressure) else it’s just regular dudes with guns, if I wanted that I’d just watch one of the 30 mercenary type anime’s with guns. that’s about all the requirements for me

Recs for Slice of life shows without any moe or ecchi and does not take place in a school

Looking for slice of life shows OR chill low-stakes shows without moe or ecchi, and preferably with an adult cast. I also love workplace shows so it doesn’t have to be tagged slice of life but workplace can be really chill! I love slice of life but I think I’m growing out of all these highschool settings lol I’m no longer interested in highschool club shows or what a group of school friends are doing yknow😭.

Open to older slice of life too!

Does anyone have any good anime recommendations that have equal amounts of romance and action in the story🙏🙏?!? Like chainsaw man for example, it was SO good, i loved how romance was such a driving force for the action in the show!!

Recommendations?

Hey guys, I'm currently trying to find something to watch, specifically psychological/body horror animes similar to Higurashi and Another. I have Crunchyroll, netflix and Hulu

Recommend me some anime that can genuinely surprise you

I'm looking for plot twists, meaningful conversations or genre reconstructions, or it can be something that surprised you personally. Maybe you started watching this without any expectations, or expected something shallow and ended up astonished.

Genres I *don't like* are ecchi and harem, genres I *often dislike* are isekai and romantic comedy, everything else is fine.

Some examples from me:

  1. I expected Psycho Pass to be an average action/cyberpunk, it ended up being much more gruesome and philosophical

  2. I thought Mob Psycho 100 is just a slapstick comedy, but many conversations, personal stories and character relationships are actually touching, not to mention good animation

Food Anime Recommendations

I've been looking for more food-focused animes or even movies.

I enjoyed Isekai Izakaya "Nobu", Restaurant to Another World, Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill, Cinderella Chef, Today's Menu for the Emiya Family, and the cooking bits of Food Wars.

I've watched and semi-enjoyed Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits and Sugar Apple Fairytale but they weren't as interesting as the others since I guess they weren't as food focused to me.

I've attempted to watch Dungeon Meshi and Welcome to the Outcast's Restaurant but both were not that interesting to me. Probably lack of food over plot. I just like them cooking/enjoying food.

If you've got any recs I'd love to try them out! Thank you <3
