Is Blight one-shotting you instantly as you break a block just something you gotta risk when playing Hardcore?

Yesterday I lost a promising run because I broke a single Glowstone block and a Blight Zephyr spawned and one-shot me before I could even react. I was mining from as far as I could as I always do, but it wasn't enough, the fact that mobs spawn immediately aggroed on you and the speed of a Blight just leaves no way out.

You could say well don't mine Glowstone, too bad that most blocks that are useful have the chance to spawn a mob, and every mob has a chance to be Blight.

Is the way to play Hardcore seriously not break any block at all until you have six head hearts and prot IV armour? It sounds so incredibly boring but there are so many blocks that can spawn things and all it takes is a Blight spawn and it's lights out.

Is the mob hiding in this glowstone trap always a Blight or was I supremely unlucky?

Didn't think this would be a trap, I just thought it was some nice free glowstone...

What's the trick in not killing yourself with throwing weapons? They bounce deceptively far

I love my early game javelin but they are so dangerous lol, one mistake and you are dead. They bounce a lot farther than I expect and I always mess up when elevation is involved. Is there a safe distance or something that guarantees you don't spear yourself in the head?

[TOMT] A lonely man is the only one to downvote a post. It was either a manga/comic or a SCP story

This is all I remember. The post was super viral and had 100% thumbs up and he was the first downvote, and it symbolised defiance.

I don't think it's a hot take that Voxes were a bit over-nerfed. I think that their cap should be increased as difficulty goes up. Three on D10 is too little.

We have so many ways of one or two-shotting them now, but it's not just that, with how large enemies can't navigate as quickly and accurately as smaller ones, it happens quite often that a Vox loses track of a player and now just sits there, still too close to despawn but unable to do anything, and taking up a slot

Can we agree that Vox cap should increase with difficulty? 3 on D10 is too little

Not only are they really easy to kill now, but if they lose track of the players now you have a Vox doing nothing and taking up the spawn.

Today it's unplayable, crash after crash, entire teams dropping connection, what is going on?

I wanted to enjoy some Cybros finally but I've yet to finish a single operation, I've tried hosting and joining, it doesn't matter, after a while I either crash or the entire team drops connection.

Dismas Head never drops

It's the only trinket I'm missing. I've killed the Collector and Shambler countless times on any veterancy level, got dozens of secret rooms and it never drops.

I am 100% sure I never got it and that didn't lose it, not only do I not recall getting it, I have never wiped on a mission and the few hero losses I've had I always completed the fight and recovered any trinket.

I'm playing unmodded.

Has anyone played Vanilla Plus mod for TFTD? What do you think?

I'm just starting out with it and I'm enjoying the additions so far, anyone has a bit more experience with it?

What exactly is the problem of those idiots moderating the main sub? You can't even say the word PC without getting the comment removed or a temp ban

Gatekeeping an 11yo game is insane. I gotta wonder how many people don't even know they can actually play this game because of these SonyGestapo Lmao they (main sub) banned me for this post, I'm weak. What garbage moderation.

Blitzer loadout, what secondary to take care of ships' shields? I would love to make it work with the Sterilizer, so I don't want to rely on support weapons.

I found that the Blitzer is pretty fun to run on MM solo, but the problem is that it's awful, total garbage, at dealing with shields. I tried a few secondaries, but they all seem to struggle with the shield, Talon overheats. mg pistol needs 1 and 1/2 mag for a single shield, Bushwaker needs 9 shots etc.

I really don't want to have to bring a machine gun or the Autocannon, I just wanted to make the loadout with the Sterilizer solo proof but shields have been a tough nut to crack.

The only true option I have found that works is Thermites. I would really love to avoid the damned things, so if you know of a good secondary for the job please tell me.

Does anyone have a link to the Bocchi fanart where she's eating crayons and says "here, I saved one for you?"

It was on X last time I saw it, but it was like a year ago

A Place Further Than The Universe was absolute peak! You could feel the passion of the author for Antarctica. Any other series about a realistic adventure in our world? Possibly on a ship

The big twist was one of the best twists I've read in a long time

Spoilers past the anime ending.

I was thinking about it yesterday as I was suggesting the LN to somebody, but the twist of what happened to >!humanity!< and>! !<the true nature of>! the Beasts!< was so good. The entire section inside >!Chanteur!< is probably my favourite part of the entire series, it's beautiful and haunting, but the twist man, the twist is so creative and unique.

Concerns about difficulty

I'm loving a lot of these changes, but don't y'all think that difficulty keeps going down at every patch? Our stuff keeps getting better and better while enemies keep getting nerfed.
