I didn’t realize I had successfully activated it until it was to late
Found both a triple stack and a 100 stash of SC within the same minute.
Sorry if my mic isn't the best. First time finding a hundo as well so that's neat.
Never mind cool names for your Super Destroyer let's see some silly names for them, mine is Fist of Science, what's yours?
Pre-Update?
What will happen when the patch gets added?
Ammo? We are the ammo! The Human Cannonball Maneuver
Backstory:
So, my friends and I started our own HD2 unit called the Hellhammers. As you guessed it, we are hammer lovers. Three subfactions in our unit include: Flying Hellhammers, Ground N’ Pound, and Speed Demons.
Flying Hellhammers primarily use Jump Packs to fly and kill, but any method of flying or being catapulted into the air is embraced. Thus, we have been experimenting with different methods of getting a Flying Hellhammer as high and as far as possible with the goal of landing a Hellhammer on the back of a Leviathan to ride it and then kill it using the hammer alone. One sport we do in our faction is riding the enemies for as long as possible before killing it.
We have experimented with many things, with the auto cannon sentry catapult producing the best results until last night after a long session of experimentation…(that’s why you hear me being shocked, it was after so many failed attempts).
The Bureau of Offensive Navigation and Kinetics (B.O.N.K.), the research on mobility branch of the Hellhammers, has began utilizing a fully mobile Flying Hellhammer catapulting system.
We have been able to successfully aim the catapult at something in the distance and launch the Flying Hellhammer in that direction without killing or even ragdolling the Hellhammer. Meaning, we have launched our comrades into combat at mach speeds while they retain the ability to swing the hammer all while airborne. We are able to launch someone 50m, 75m, 100m, or even completely off the map without ragdolling the person!
Here, my friend was airborne long enough for the traitor countdown to expire and he was being shot at while airborne. He finally hit the map limits where he finally started ragdolling. The destroyer kept firing at him but never hit him. He finally died because he landed in water beyond the islands in the background and he drowned :(
The Flying Hellhammer slogan: Ammo? We are the ammo!
TL;DR We were trying to figure out a way to catapult someone high and far to be able to ride Sky Whales (leviathans)
EDIT: I’ve seen several comments about joining up - that is awesome! We’d love to have more people to game with. If you’re interested in joining either (1) leave a comment and I’ll dm you, or (2) dm me directly and I’ll invite you to the discord! Thanks everyone, you all are awesome!!
EDIT 2: my friend (the guy being treated) clipped it from his point of view as well and it’s posted in our discord. Sorry, I cannot post it here :/
Ballistic shield is a whole vibe
My wife's been getting into diving (it's been a wonderful relationship development) so I've been on challenging dives to get her up to speed, and took the opportunity to play with different load outs as well as work through my eruptor addiction. Ran the ballistic shield as a Goof, but hot dawg it slaps.
We moved up to suicide and both run a shield, turtle Bros all day. Especially sick when squad mates catch on and we make a whole tortoise formation and march as the pale turtle of death through the open, blithely charging dropships.
Been caught out a few times and backed into a corner, damn near unkillable with my back against a wall. Soaks up rockets, sentries, gingivitis and seasonal depression. When running it protects your back too, a surprisingly good sniper backpack.
Eagle strafing run, ballistic shield, amr, smg, grenade pistol, thermite and a mission dependent strat slot.
Well worth a try. We want to get a full squad in on a shield wall!
Code's fubar
at least 2 weeks now nothing but crashes. I can expect with 100% certainty two crashes on a fresh pc startup every day.
it occurs when other players are loading in.
super frustrating because 99% of the time I can't rejoin so I just start a new mission and crash again.
I'm on pc. the crashes are not relative to my hardware or settings but certainly janky-ass updates.
im just ranting here because the crash reporting is seemingly completely useless.
I enjoy the game usually until the 3rd random crash but I think the next place I dump my frustrations will be my credit card company for refunds.
I've basically been robbed of a product I continue paying for so uh yeah fuck it my cc company has a very sympathetic support department.
A quick question from a new helldiver?
What is the hellpod etiquette i keep having people steal my drops usually lumberer exosuit, portable hellbomb, and a few times my bullet storm although not worried about that one since it's only 120 CD (I think). But because of all this it raised a question in me is there etiquette for hellpods or do we just use whatever we need from each other in our best efforts in expanding managed democracy? Wishing all helldivers good operations! FOR DEMOCRACY!
Can any Medic-Divers relate?
I haven’t used a different secondary in months. I don’t even look at my secondary slot when picking a loadout. I am cursed to permanently use the Stim Pistol, otherwise everyone else will suffer greatly.
DART-3 Crowd Stopper
A multi-target dart homing device, capable of taking out up to 9 light targets simultaneously. When aimed at enemies, the device locks onto them every 0.33 seconds, up to a maximum of 9 enemies (or the remaining number of darts) (similar to the Warrent), and fires when triggered. The device is relatively small and inconspicuous, ideal for Helldivers who do not wish to carry a bulky primary weapon.
Ideal for taking out groups of small, light enemies such as the Bug Pouncer/Hunter, Votless hordes or a small group of bots.
- One-handed
- Primary Gun (Special)
- Revolver Reload (Singel Reload)
- Gas + Ballistic
- Range is increased by the Helldiver’s radar range.
- Medium Pen
- 0.33 seconds to lock onto one enemy (3 seconds for 9 enemies)
Targeting modes:
- Enemies in sight first
- Large enemies first (no armoured enemies such as Chargers)
- Light/fast enemies first.
Lock-on modes:
- Single Lock
- 3 Enemy Lock
- Max Lock (9 enemies)
Damage:
- Medium Pen
- 150 Ballistic (40 Durable)
- 10-second gas effect (injection)
- Ammo: 1+3 mags (36x Darts)
Total damage = 150 Ballistic + 250 Gas (400 damage per target)
Not sure if anyone else has noticed or documented this but I found a very strange and harmless bug
Not sure if this happens with any other support weapon, but when using the Thumb of Approval emote with the Railgun... this happens lol
I don't understand these people
So players whined that they didn't get stuff from playing the game anymore... Now that we do some people whine about having to play once to unlock something... Like isn't this what y'all fought for?
Personal Order of Today (7/6)
Kill 500 Terminids
So uh, how do helldivers see in the helmet?
Do they just have cameras inside their helmets? Or mirrors? Or the interrogation room glass type of material?
