Power Armor Stratagem Concept (Not AI)

A heavily armored exosuit that sits somewhere between a standard Helldiver and a mech.

It would greatly increase survivability and melee strength while still letting you dive, interact with objectives, use stratagems, and fight like a normal Helldiver.

Unlike a mech, you could choose between using your own weapons or equipping built-in weapon modules, depending on how you customize the suit.

It could also be customizable with different modules, such as jump jets, shoulder missiles, shield generators, or other utility upgrades, allowing players to tailor it to different playstyles.

I think it would be a really fun middle ground between Helldivers and Mechs.

Can we honor my best friend, OVOKRAKEN, with a small memorial in Helldivers?

I never thought I’d be making a post like this.
A few days ago, I lost my best friend, Nicholas Johnson.
His Xbox gamertag was OVOKRAKEN.
For years, Helldivers was more than just a game to us. It was where we escaped after long days, laughed until we couldn’t breathe, accidentally wiped each other out with stratagems, and made memories that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. Some of my favorite moments with him happened while fighting for Super Earth.
Losing him has left a hole in my life that I don’t know how to fill.
I know this is an incredibly unlikely request, and I completely understand if it’s something that can never happen. But I wanted to ask this community, and maybe the developers if this somehow reaches them:
Would it ever be possible to honor Nicholas with a small memorial in Helldivers? Even something as simple as his gamertag, OVOKRAKEN, on a memorial wall, a plaque, a ship roster, a fallen Helldiver, or another subtle tribute somewhere in the game.
I know there are probably countless reasons why requests like this can’t always be granted, and I truly understand that. I just couldn’t live with myself if I never asked.
I’ve already reached out to Arrowhead directly because I wanted to try every possible avenue.
Whether anything comes of this or not, I want to thank Arrowhead for creating a game that brought two best friends together for so many unforgettable nights. Those memories are something no one can ever take away from me.
If you’ve ever lost someone you used to game with, you know that eventually you log in one day and realize they’re never coming online again. That’s a feeling I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

Can any Medic-Divers relate?

I haven’t used a different secondary in months. I don’t even look at my secondary slot when picking a loadout. I am cursed to permanently use the Stim Pistol, otherwise everyone else will suffer greatly.

Would it be a good idea to have a Backpack to carry Multiple Expendables Launchers?

Yes, I know the images are wacky. Yes, I used Microsoft Paint. Yes, I spent 2 seconds on this, Yes, it was fun to giggle at while making.

BUT, would this help or be cool to have carrying multiple expendables, maybe with multiple different expendables, or yall think it would just be a waste of a strategem slot because you would need to bring another strategem from expendables?

Or maybe it could be a perk on an armour to carry more expendables, which is maybe more realistic for players to use this way of playing.

Laser Warbond

How come Arrowhead hasn’t added a full on Laser Warbond yet? I mean you could have an armor passive that has coolant to slow down laser weapons overheating, a laser emplacement, Trident Guard Dog, and if you really wanted to, a laser sword! Seriously, this would probably be a meta warbond.

You want an actually hot take? Trench strategems and tools would suck if they were added.

I have seen so much hype around AH hopefully adding *effective* trench tools (not the shovel), and I have never understood it.

Almost 100% of new content has been locked behind Super Credits, so the idea that it wouldn't take up a spot in a warbond isn't realistic. I saw a good bit of pushback on the chainsaw when it was added because it's not effective and took up what could have been something useful in the warbond.

That's all trench tools would be. Ineffective. Maybe fun, but hardly useful over any other pick. Maybe I've played wrong from level 1 to 80, but I have NEVER wanted a trench or hole badly enough to wish I had taken a tool made to create one.

I'm not going as far as to say they're useless. Holes from grenades or bombs can be great to pop a safe stim and reload, and sometimes a line from an air strike can be great to take cover from a group of devastators. But overall, even on objectives, you are required to move around too much to ever make a grenade or strategem designed to make trenches worth using even in a mildly serious setting.

All this ignoring the fact that the trench would lose most of its defensive benefits after one Devastator volley or a pair of (likely friendly) grenades.

PLEASE USE THE DEFAULT SKIN ON THE SUPPLY FRV

Using any but the default skin on the Supply FRV will make the game crash for other players when joining a match, please make sure to change yours to the default one before joining a match !

Since we don't have many of them, 3 ideas for red stratagems (and 2 that could kinda be considered red)

  1. Orbital Telluric Warhead: a bunker buster missile that explodes deep underground to unleash a localized earthquake. The impact itself is something like a precision strike, but after one second it generates a tremor (like the the planet modifier) and destroys spawners, prefabs, houses, containers and so on in a large radius. Long cooldown.

  2. Orbital Railcannon Killzone: the beacon remains in place for 30 seconds: during that period of time, every six seconds the super destroyer will fire the railcannon to a random large target in the area around it. Large targets include the usual enemies, but also mechs, bastion tanks, mechs, FRVs. Long cooldown

  3. Eagle Dark Fluid Bomb: the eagle drops a large canister of dark fluid, that generates a singularity in the area. A small black hole spawns, and casually roams around for a while like a fire tornado, inflicting massive damage to whatever it touches. Nearby helldivers are sucked inside (remember when the eruptor's explosion pulled you towards it instead than blowing you away?). 1 bomb per eagle resupply, doesn't benefit from the super destroyer improvement.

  4. Orbital laser entrenchment swipe: simply, call the orbital laser to quickly draw a straight line, and it leaves behind a trench deep enough for helldivers to use as cover.

  5. Remote Controlled Orbital Laser (a.k.a. Hammer of Dawn): simply, a version of the orbital laser that you can guide around with a targeter like the one of the solo silo. Perfect for a Gears of War collaboration.

Did Joel forget Mox is a 2x hp planet?

It's got 2 million hp so 1.5% resistance is equivalent to 3% resistance on a normal planet. Liberating it is the same effort as two planets at 3%, and we have to do that and liberate Genesis and probably defend Brilliance in 4 days?

Unless we get some help from Joel it really feels like we're just being set up to fail.

PSA: exosuits can no longer harmed by spike/bomb plants

If you’ve ever used exosuits in the past, you’ve probably walked past a spikey plant in your exosuit and then had your arm blown off by said plant, well with the new armor buffs to the exosuits, they can no longer be harmed by the light ap explosions and shrapnel of the stupid plants
