the military *trying* to slow down Zeruel from Evangelion, the strongest conventional/brute-force Angel in the series.

I think I realized what was bothering me the most about Dottore: He just had LAME and low-effort attack animations, such a stark contrast to legendary attacks like Childe narwhal. even normal bosses have better animations.

from Evangelion, the military operations used to *Distract* Ramiel (the screaming geometry thingy)

Evangelion, I like how the military went straight to Nuking the giant monster in the very first Episode, even if it failed.

Hive Fleet Kronos is my Favorite piece of 40k lore, an entire Hive Fleet dedicated to screwing Chaos, Shutting off Warp powers and fighting from Long-Range to deny melee.

I really love the design and layout of Automaton fortifications, ditches, barbed wire, bunkers, walls, trenches, Turrets, MG positions, but it's sad how we can mostly just waltz through them.

Seriously though, So-called advanced/alien armies in Superhero movies just end up being Pathetically weak and impotent to the point that even modern military forces would stomp them.

I absolutely adore them, armor to tank stuff, big gun that can kill anything, and an HMG/autocannon to shred aircraft and light vehicles, it so comfortable, and gives you space to think and be smart!

Join the durable Side! Bunker complexes, 15-ton Armor-kits, and never worry about standoff munitions again with the power of earth, steel, Composites, and Concrete!

Love how the Spear has become a legitimately good pick on the Illuminate Front with the changes over time.

It's become my favorite genre to have the military portrayed competently and accurately by a creator that knowns his stuff, but STILL lose to the Supernatural. Both sides get to shine.

It just comes off as cringeworthy and lame when people but into clearly whimiscal and laid-back fun settings to stretch the rules of what different powers can do.
I used to be like this, but now I understand how cringeworthy, pathetic and unwelcome it is. What really matters is the tone and setting of a series featuring magical powers, superhero or fantasy. Trying to Shoe-horn in power-technicality and rules-lawyering to stretch what powers can do to make oneself feel smart or "edgy" just comes off as low-effort and cringe.
And serious series do exist! you can do that there.

IMO, I feel like I'm having a lot more fun with Evangelion than a lot of other fans here.
