r/JumpChain

I wrote all of this down in a single sitting, mostly, and by the time the companions section came up, I felt a little tired. I still have scenarios left which I sort of forgot about until now, so I think I'll just leave it be and I'll add them in later. This story is by Void Herald and can be found on RoyalRoad.

It's a very fun story that I recommend to everyone.

One of my Jumpers has a very powerful suit of armor he built himself, and it serves as his primary defense. I was wondering if there’s a way to let him summon it directly onto his body; if there’s an item that works like that, I’d be open to it, since he can import similar items into one another.

My entry for Monthly Jump Challenge #48: Vampires, based on the 2023 French-Canadian dark comedy. This is possibly the lowest-stakes, lowest-risk, and lowest-power vampire jump. Ideal for jumpers (or benefactors) who find "What We Do In The Shadows" too spicy. Enter a world of bickering vampire families and bullied human teenagers in 2023 Montreal.

Feedback and suggestions welcome.

If I'm not mistaken, the advantage was a second personality that possessed a personal time rate far exceeding that of the normal version; one could switch to it, and its accumulated mental capabilities could be applied in moments of need.

I feel like you could make an interesting jump or gauntlet from it.

Can anyone help me find a Star Wars jump with a perk that turns you into an enhanced human capable of crushing durasteel with your bare hands? It's not the one that turns you into Grievous 2.0.

is their a perk to make a hive mind clone retroactively have a background. needed for a masterplan

thoughts? stories? Complaints? requests for me to get psychiatric help lmao

Edit to add in response to TimeBlossom's request for more info:
You have to go through the process of becoming a cenobyte everytime you switch jumps, you can go back to 'normal human' form after removing the various objects from your being. You can have a week-a month between jumps. You keep your history and personality. Leviathan can be a benefactor, but I was thinking more you made a bad deal and now have to go through various kinds of torment in order to 'prove' you earned your powers (Perks)

I’m thinking about making a contessa/makima type character. Just a character to come out of the shadows and scare the shit out of pretty much anyone. An eldritch monster to make any sufficiently op super heroes or villains know their place. Any perks you think would work for this?

Another jump finished! It was fun making this jump, as i did not expect to make another Fallout jump in the first place (especially a SFW one).
I hope the jump is good enough to be used since there is a fallout series jump that lets you go to any fallout you wish. Thanks for everyone who gave feedback!

I know VTM 20th edition has it as a sorta drawback but I'm looking to actually get it, I know that in world of darkness terms Cains powers are extremely powerful buut we have both an archmages jump and dark ages which allows you to become a solar, plus Cains powers are only on the middle tier in jumpchain terms.

Or even a non WOD jump that offers WOD cain's powers

for people unfamiliar VTM stands for Vampire the masquerade a vampire based TTRP that takes place in the WOD aka World of darkness

Well maybe will do one mid month if my production spikes for October. We'll see what happens.

Since the last Jumpdate there's been a few new jumps:

• Marvel Registration Era - It'd been in the works for a long time, since Thor Vol 1 at least, and bits even before it, but it was a huge chunk of stuff. Still that's finally done.
• The Book of the New Sun - Sci-Fi classic from the 80s.
• Robin Hood (Ballads) - The classic ballads of Robin Hood (as opposed to the plays and literary tradition that they spawned).
• Fantastic Four ('67) - The 60s cartoon. The jump just sort of happened.
• 60s Gothic Horror MMM - Keeping up my tradition of doing October Monthly Jump Challenges the year after.

And since it's that time of the year, I actually do have plans and plots and schemes of offerings to Jack and his ghosts and ghoulies for this festive season. In theory I want to try and make at least 1 jump in each of the following categories: Slashers, Vampires, Zombies, Monster Movies, and Child-Friendly Spookiness. Honestly would probably like to do at least 1 about more spiritual/occult horror (ghosts, demons, and witches), and maybe 1 that fits into Kaiju, and like a Werewolf jump. Not sure if I will even try to do any of those.

High probability jumps:

• Wrong Turn: Cannibal slasher films. Should be done this week. Would cover Slashers.
• Tomb of Dracula (Vol 1): Marvel's original Dracula comics. I've read more than half, and at current rate should be done before the end of the month, faster if I don't decide I have to read 20 issues of Werewolf by Night again. Would cover Vampires.

I intend to at least try at:

• Alien (Films): Definitely doable, but might not happen since AvP does a decent job and has some darn perfect Xenomorph perks, but I'll re-watch the films and see what happens. At the very least there are elements (Prometheus and Covenant) that generally aren't touched. Would cover Monsters.
• Anna and the Apocalypse: Zombie musical. It's a single zombie film so high chance it won't work out, but might make a fun gauntlet. Would cover Zombies.
• The 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo: I'll probably end up watching the show in the later half of the month, and I'll give it a try. Would cover Child-Friendly Spookiness.
• Night of the Demons: Not sure if these will come together as a jump, but I intend to rewatch at least the first 2 this year and if they seem like they will work well watching the rest isn't too much trouble. Would cover Ghost/Demon/Witch stuff.

There are more possibilities that are bouncing around in my head (like a book I'm planning to read that maybe I'll try to do something with if I get around to reading it) but those are the most likely ones atm.

Ideally I'd be doing 13 jumps this month, but while I know it's possible for it to happen I'm not about to make that promise.

I really liked this movie when I was younger and I was always surprised it didn't have a jump, vampires being this month's chalange gave me a reason to make it
