This is getting really exhausting, It feels like SC is punishing the last of us who are still playing

This comment sums up everything and I'm tired of it We're using our limited ore on upgrading our equipment just for them to burry them once again it's just Exhausting I tried keeping up but I can't anymore I'll stop using 4/5 accounts cause the grind up until now was unnecessary Ores wasted on 5 accounts

Nerfs aren’t the problem. The ore economy is.

Many people are frustrated that their strategy is no longer going to be viable and I see many people say “it’s necessary” or “just get better”, but the problem isn’t that it’s too hard. The problem is that many of us just spent weeks to months upgrading a piece of equipment that we may never use again now.

Balance changes are good, but the game is already extremely disencouraging for returning players. Changes like this will bring that feeling over to active players too. We are being punished for trying to keep up with the meta.

We seem to enter an era where 1 strategy with a new piece of equipment will be WAY stronger than others and especially free to play players (but even many paying players) just won’t be able to keep up anymore and will be at a tremendous disadvantage to players who can still keep up and use extremely strong equipment. I really fear this is going to be extremely damaging for the game long term.

Supercell, it’s time to address the ore economy big-time and fast. Especially if you are introducing new equipment that will be overpowered for a limited amount of time.

Giant Arrow nerf

I heavily disagree with the decision taken by clash of clans team. The sole purpose of giant arrow was not air defence. It is used in multiple ways. Funneling, activate town hall, spell tower, collectors, air defence, air sweepers, major defence weakening, combination with other hero equipment.

I got to know about it from judosloth YouTube,my first thought was if it's difficult to manage then the team may have shifted it to next town hall (it unlocks at higher th) but it's jaw dropping that they reduced its damage and made it a specific case use like the noble iron or the warden torch equipment. I just want giant arrow to be as it is now and all players want this.

Balance changes discussion

While I liked some of the changes including the dragon duke nerf and the crafted defense buffs, isn’t this a bit too much? Some of the changes feel pretty unnecessary to me, like giant arrow was fine on its own. I mean, literally the entire strategy got nerfed. I have a feeling this would just push the meta back into root rider meta or super bowler meta instead of balancing and adding variety to the game… what do you guys think?

(Also I thought the inferno drag 1% nerf is a bit silly, what was that supposed to accomplish? You could always swap back to dragons, I guess?)

Edit: this is mainly my opinion as an l1 player, I could be wrong. I welcome any comments or criticisms :)

Everyone is Upset about the Balance Changes, but why is NO ONE Mentioning THIS?

I see everyone upset about the latest Balance changes, especially the Dragon Duke, his equipments, and the Giant Arrow.

But what baffles me is how no one is talking about the Inferno Dragon Nerf. he just got killed for ZERO reason. and I just upgraded him too.

Refund ore for nerfed equipment so players can decide whether to invest in that same equipment again. Ore is too difficult to amass to just nerf what we've invested in without providing some relief.

That's it, that's the post.

FOMO! Supercells classic rug pull!

I’m honestly getting tired of the Clash of Clans balancing cycle at this point.

Every single update follows the exact same pattern:

Release new troop/equipment.

Make it insanely strong so everyone rushes to unlock it.

Players spend money/resources because of FOMO.

Nerf it weeks/months later.

Repeat.

And now we’ve got ANOTHER massive round of nerfs coming in June. The Dragon Duke, Sky Wagon, Rocket Backpack are all due to be nerfed.

Any new meta that emerges must be subdued immediately by Supercell. We must only have the YouTuber classic 50 different troop combos and endless guides to play this unique concoction that barely gets 3 stars. sKiLL iSsUE gEt gUD¡

So what exactly are players supposed to think here? Because it genuinely looks like content is intentionally released OP to drive engagement/spending before getting “balanced” afterwards.

And don’t give us the “we’re monitoring performance” line every single time.

You’re a multi-million dollar company. Why does it constantly feel like the live playerbase is the actual test server?

If creators/YouTubers are the main source of pre-release feedback and these updates STILL launch OP over and over again, then clearly the testing process is not working.

The most frustrating part is the constant rug-pull feeling.

People invest time, ores, magic items, books, medals, and real money adapting to the new meta… then here comes “balancing” and it’s never immediately upon release to show genuine error noooo no no… after weeks/months so they can “gAtHER dATA” like it wasn’t obvious on day one and you feel like this is what they intended so you might as well get onboard and spend those ores.

Giant Arrow nerf

Fire Heart nerfed

Dragon Duke nerfed

Sky Wagon nerfed

Dragon Rider nerfed

Rocket Backpack nerfed

Air meta getting hammered

Meanwhile I’m sure they’re already “tEsTiNg” MORE epic equipment and “meta-changing gameplay” before the dust has even settled from the last batch.

At some point it stops feeling like balancing and starts feeling like manufactured FOMO.

I don’t mind balance changes when something is genuinely broken long-term. What I do mind is this constant cycle of hyping then nerfing.

WE SHOULD NOT ACCEPT EQUIPMENTS NERFING

Instead of buffing weak armies and equipment, Clash of Clans just nerfs the few things that actually work. We grind ores and max equipment for months just for it to get nerfed after. What’s even the point of maxing then, what will be the point of ore economy

Buff other armies and equipments instead of making progression feel pointless.

You can buff ground to make it balance with air and buff buildings or whatever to make whole game balanced, don’t take away progression, time and some people’s money

Upcoming Balance Changes/State of Gameplay - Part 2 (May 2026)

NOT LIVE YET

These changes are to address a number of issues.  The Giant Arrow previously needed to be changed with each new Air Defence level release to be effective against them, making it increasingly powerful at lower TH levels.  Adding a 2x damage boost against ADs enables it to be effective against those while being less impactful against other targets, and the damage has been adjusted accordingly.

The Dragon Duke and his equipment is seeing some adjustments due to him being “a bit overtuned”.  There are changes to Dragon Rides, Inferno Dragons and Sky Wagon too.  This is to help create a healthier balance between Ground and Air strategies.  Tweaks are being made to all 3 crafted defenses also to help with this.

These changes should come in the next few days.

June Update Balancing

Separately to these balancing changes, in June the Flame Blower will be changed to blow in the direction the Duke is facing.  Previously when paired with the Rocket Backpack, it would activate in the direction of travel.  This will no longer be the case.

Ore

The Clash team has been working on a catch up mechanic to help players keep up with new equipment releases.  They believe they have found a fair way to make the Epic Equipment economy more accessible while still remaining engaging, however they don’t have any further details to share at this time.

The game balance is terrible, 3 stars everywhere

Everyone with a heartbeat can currently 3 star bases. It's incredibly boring and needs to be fixed before people start quitting the game.

Im in wars where the top players dont even have to attack as the lower TH's cleared all bases...

The absolute state of Clan Wars

Doesn't matter how good are your layouts, or how bad is the attacker. In the mg meta we could break the streaks of good clans, nowadays even a 6 win streak clan can draw. Air spam + backpack triples everything and requires no brain. At least the previously ground attacks were more prone to error. Supercell should learn from Builder base and Clan capital, simple troops create a balanced meta, but lets keep adding the newest broken siege/hero/equipment and increase modifiers to balance... some day we will have 30% increase for legends and only 1 strategy viable.

Supercell Can we have the OG 2D builder as a skin for the builders

I know we switched over to the 3D model so that the original skin is consistent with the meteor skin and potential future skins, but could we compromise and have the 2D model as an option?👉👈🥺 I miss the way they move with a builder potion active

Rune of builder elixir converted to gems without warning 😢

I already had one rune of builder elixir before accepting the Star Chaser: Rune event rewards. When I accepted the reward, it didn't go to temporary storage nor prompt that it is going to convert the reward into gems. It converted to gems straight ahead. Wasn't a good experience.

Dragon Duke Appears in 100% of the Top 200 Players Army

Hero usage rates for the end of the may 2026 legends season. Dragon duke and warden appearing in every single army. With the king and royal champion usage rates plummeting. What do you think?
