Another banger from Prisma as today’s go to scent.

Topaz reminds me of my VIW but a nighttime party take. Tropical coconut, zingy lime, hints of saffron - all creating a very bright, sweet, happy opening.

Transitioning midway to a creamy sweetness with minor florals, still holding the opening notes strongly.

The dry down is when Topaz is ready for a night of drinking and popping molly at club space Miami.

Boozy rum, flashes of tobacco, and cedar - enveloping you in a spicy dry down, yet hinting the opening and mid notes the whole time.

Popped on 2 sprays at 8:30am and it’s now almost 3pm, still going strong.

How damn good this one is, especially with cooler weather tonight.

Powdery sugary strawberry, turning into refreshing Christmas pine with hints of spice and smoke, jasmine, and rose. Finishing off with creamy vanilla, amber, and woods.

100% full bottle once this runs out.

STRONG with an insane atomizer, 2 sprays on arms and you’re set the entire day.

Before I start, please keep in mind: this is my nose, my skin, my opinion, and my time testing these scents. I’m not here to say your opinion is wrong or what you should expect from either scent. I also won’t be told my opinion and expectations/outcomes are wrong. Take the time to read the entire write up before jumping into the comment section lol.

At this point this isnt really a review, kind of maybe, we all know how LV Imagination smells. This is more so to shed light on the only video review we have of B 03 by Vegas, from 1 year ago, and compare against Monty.

I received my bottle of B 03 three days ago, given Vegas’ review is 1 year old, either I don’t align with what he said or Banadir reformed B 03. Vegas mentions Banadir 03 skips the entire opening and heavily focuses on the cinnamom, ginger, black tea dry down, I get the opposite (again, has it been reformed from his review 1 year ago?).

Banadir 03 - A blast of zesty orange and citrus right off the bat upon initial spray, with a beautiful bite from the ginger and warmth from the cinnamon, you can obviously instantly tell what scent this is. The citrus carries on into the 30 to 45 minute mark which i assume is the neroli helping support those opening notes. Theres a very mild sweetness that starts hanging around after 10 minutes of the initial spray, not a gourmand sweetness, but something is there just adding to the opening. Overall right away its that classic soapy rich linen clean LV Imagination, but then that true mid and dry down hit.

The way the 30 to 45 min minute marks citrus slowly fade into the more forward cinnamon, ginger, black tea, its simply magnificent. After about an hour, it just goes full force with the classic dry down DNA of Imagination. Im not going to bore you, as we all know how it smells.

Now to continue the comparrison. I was gifted a very well aged (1.5 year old) bottle of Montagne Imaginary about 4 to 5 months ago, it was roughly around 70% full, now it sits with maybe 5ML left. Having said that, I believe I have a strong understanding on this take from Montagne.

With the Montagne Imaginary, I catch some citrus upon initial spray, but much less prominent. With this it feels like im only catching the citron / bergamot, but no orange. This lasts about 5 minutes before quickly transitioning into the forward cinnamon, ginger, black tea mid and dry down.

Aside from the opening, with Ban having a more prominent citrus, the mid and dry down between B 03 and Imaginary is legit SPOT ON identical. If you sprayed both of these on me and I couldnt smell either till the 30 minute mark, I wouldnt know which is which.

Keep in mind, this next portion of the comparison is based off on skin testing. I dont mind spraying my shirt, but I’m a skin guy and will always spray scents on skin.

Projection - With the Montagne being an EDP, I get a stronger immediate projection than I do with Banadir 03 being an Extrait. However, the Banadir 03 starts to build this strong scent bubble that just clings to you and follows you around.

Longevity - Banadir 03 smokes Imaginary out of the water. This is an area that I’ve put 4 months worth of testing on the Montagne, With Montagne I average about 1 to 2 hours MAX before requiring a respray. No my skin isnt dry, no Im not noseblind. Beyond countless times I’ve worn Imaginary and had my girl smell me 2 hours in, to which she would mention she can barely catch the scent unless she puts her nose to the spray zones (she does not wear my frags and is not noseblind to what Im wearing). With Banadir 03 yesterday and today, 4 sprays each time, I’m averaging about 6.5 hours before its skin close, scent bubble almost gone, and requiring a respray at the 7 hour mark.

Value - Banadir 03, 100%. Twice the juice for the same price, 3 to 4 times the longevity, a more prominent citrus opening, and an identical dry down.

I love my Montagnes, I’m sorry if this displeases some hearts, but I try my best to always speak the truth.

At around 4 months old, we’ve finally hit 1K weekly visits!

I finally did it, I’ve been saving onto the last few drops of this and today was the day. Definitely my favorite MFK of all time, and my signature scent 4 years ago.

Wish MFK did not discontinue this and replace with the inferior Cologne Forte line 😔.
