Personally, the worst thing about the ending is that my interest in Chainsaw Man is going to fade to the point where I’ll barely feel anything toward the series anymore. That happened to me with Aot, and I know it’s going to happen with Csm too.

Yeah, I still think Part 1 is really good on its own, but what was the point of all that? Just for everything to get erased and for the characters to forget everything that happened? Like, how am I supposed to still feel anything for characters like Aki and Reze when they’re basically nobodies now and it’s practically as if they never even existed?

Anyway, I’ll probably stay in the Chainsaw Man fandom for a little while longer, but nothing major. Maybe I’ll watch the rest of Part 1 when it gets animated (I’m definitely not watching Part 2), and then goodbye Chainsaw Man. I’ll definitely be completely fed up with this franchise and its fandom by then.

Who is the best written main character in battle shonen anime?

What fandom have you seen crash out the most over an ending/incident, and then for some reason lash out at other fandoms for it?

Should a main character's goal (or lack thereof) be a serious criticism for the entire story of a shonen medium? Does it represent the entirety of the work?

I was inspired to make this post when I made a discussion on a certain subreddit on how Oda and Toriyama uses the same writing techniques but Oda seems to fumble his story while Toriyama seemed to enriched his. One comment criticized dragon ball (like normal) but strangely, this person didn't like dragon ball cos I kid you not one of his main criticisms was goku not having a specific goal. I was baffled. Is it that serious that he don't consider Dragonball good because of that?

Two other characters in here, Ichigo and yuji, doesn't have great goals either but bleach and jujutsu kaisen seemed to be beloved by many anyway. So I ask, should the goal of a main character be a serious criticism and should that really be a factor to avoid stories? I want your answers.

Saw some people saying the boys has a worse ending than chainsawman. LMAO NO.

When i watched the last episode of the boys i felt that the final fight should have been larger in scale and that butchers conclusion was rushed.

My reaction to chainsawman's final chapter was literally "???"

There is a timeline out there where Fate/Strange Fake got a full 24 episode 2 cour season with proper pacing like 86 EIGHTY-SIX did and we unfortunately are not leaving in it

I genuinely think the Fate/Strange Fake production team just really wanted to get to the romcom/shoujo scenes with Richard and Ayaka instead of doing all those hype moments and aura purely because of how many fights are mostly just off screen in this show

Oda writing WCI in post-time skip is the equivalent of dumb characters in American animated shows becoming smart for one episode and then reverting back the next

Genuinely a top 3 arc in the whole series (and my personal favorite) and then right after he writes W*no which is the most insulting (insulting, not worst) arc in the whole series.

What do you think about early chainsaw man part 2

Not the final arc

Not the final chapter

But: chapter 98 to end of falling devil arc

The most humiliated character in history vs The most humiliated character of today.

And mind you, Homelander was humiliating himself because he was desperate for his life, while Denji humiliated himself just because he thought Fumiko was “cute.”
