Oda is going to be hyping up and stalling the reveal of what this dude is hiding for the next couple of chapters. Then the fans will theorise about what kinds of insane lore reveals he will have.
But when the time comes for the reveal its gonna be some shit we already knew or vague hints
Theres also a small chance that Loda will make Imu kill Biblo right when hes finally going to reveal something important like he did when he cut off the Vegayap broadcast. I doubt it though because he rarely kills characters even if its just a random animal
The Akatsuki are all memorable members with great designs who each get sufficient screen time, motives and lore/backstory. Every Akatsuki also gets great fights and creative powers with the exception of Zetsu
90% of the Phantom Troupe is forgettable and boring as fuck. They dont accomplish much in the story or get developed as characters. Hisoka and Chrollo hard carry with Nobunaga and Pakunoda being the only other ones who feel remotely fleshed out
This also applies to the people who think bleach should have ended after aizens defeat btw
A lot of people dont realise how many important and iconic scenes/characters wouldnt exist if they ended then and there
Regardless of the flawed endings and final arcs for both series I dont think ending them earlier would be much better especially Naruto because of all the loose ends
Genuinely so unfunny for the first hundred or so episodes. Gintama has some high peaks later on but most of the comedy is not it
Yotsuba, Nichijou, Hinamatsuri, etc > Bintama comedy
CHAD UPSCALE IS COMING!
>!(maybe in the hell arc?👀)!<
Yhwach and even Kaguya clear this overdesigned mess
This little brat is more angry at Gaban for saving his life than he is at Imu for nearly killing him. From laughing at Vegapunks corpse, punching Loki in gear 4 over a joking insult and cursing Gaban after his life was saved I think it's safe to say that current Luffy is less mature than he was at the start of the story🥀
This is not the same character who saved Robin's life in Alabasta, protected Chopper's flag, refused to fight Bellamy and asked Hancock to save the Kuja who were frozen in stone even when saving Ace was the 2nd option she gave
He deserves all the recent slander to be honest
For over 1000 chapters Luffy is screaming to every person he meets about how he wants to be the Pirate King only for him to have a super epic secret dream that he never mentioned to anybody outside of Sabo, Ace and Shanks (offscreen)
When Loda suddenly decides to have Luffy reveal the dream to his crew he offscreens it and shows their corny ass reactions just like he did with Dogshitman's past at the start of Wano🤡💩
Imagine being a writer so hell bent on keeping mysteries until the very end you can't even reveal the mc's goal after 29 years
Usopp is legitimately the biggest bum in fictional history. Bro went from a coward who could lock in when needed to a bumass who hasnt done anything of value since Obama was president while also scamming starving children. "I'm not part of the weakling trio" he said while running away from nearly every single possible fight🥀
Meanwhile Kanonji is out here fighting hollows, pulling up on Aizen and being an inspiration to children worldwide
It's been over 1000 chapters yet we still haven't learned about the most basic of mysteries and instead keep getting spoon-feed new ones nearly every chapter. Like who the fuck cares about Douzan, Mosa or Gunko's special eyes? We are in the final saga yet we are still getting cases of shilloutes, "THAT" and "..." every single arc.
Both Oda and Abrams also have a problem with bringing back dead characters like Palpatine in Star Wars or basically everybody who "died" in One Piece
Here's a list of things wrong with Imu taken from one of my previous comments:
Even if Imu isn't the final villain he's still a dogshit antagonist with some of the most blunders I've ever seen in a shonen manga both with his writing and the decisions he makes.
At least Kaguya actually felt like a strong top tier and had a cool/unique design. I can't think of anything that Imu does particularly well.
I personally have Fullbring > Kazekage Rescue > Fishman Island
Fullbring is very overlooked in my opinion. The lower stakes, small town atmosphere and subtle horror elements returning from Substitute Soul Reaper were great to see again. The antagonists, mainly Tsukishima and Ginjo, were excellent with the others not being as good but still having some good comedic moments and fun personalities. Ichigo was also very well characterized mainly in the climax of the arc.
Kazekage Rescue is a fun arc that hooks you into Shippuden with the Akatsuki finally taking the centre stage. Characters like Sakura, Gaara, Naruto and Chiyo have great moments with the fight against Sasori being one of my favorites in all of Naruto. Getting to see more of a different village was also a treat.
In a similar vein to Fullbring I feel that Fishman Island gets too much flack. The flashback with Fisher Tiger is one of the best in all of One Piece. The themes of the arc are decently executed mainly because of Fisher Tiger, Otohime and Hody. Another positive for the arc is how every Straw Hat gets to participate in a fight and do something which you can't say about a lot of other post timeskip arcs. Unfortunately its all is dragged down by how utterly trash Sanji was with his gag and how the villains aside from Hody were terrible.
Please note that my opinion is based on the manga and the anime version of this list could likely change a lot because of the worse pacing among other things.
I lowkey think that in terms of just straight up gooning Kubo takes this one. Oda is definitely weirder and the bigger pervert though
>!(Kubo is a better writer and mangaka compared to Oda in pretty much every single way btw. Bleach has better lore, a better mc, better art, better fights, a better power system, a better side cast, better character development, better villains and much more. Kubo can also competently write and design unique, strong and attractive women without making them all look the same so there's that. Oh and Kubo does not support known pedophiles such as Watsuki unlike Oda. Overall I rest my case that Bleach >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> One Piece and Kubo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Oda)!<
Which member of the big 3 has the better designs in their sequel?
>!(The answer should be obvious)!<
honorable mention to HxH, FMA and Evangelion fans
I dont even particularly hate or dislike Kaido like a lot of people in fact I actually think he is a decent villain. But who in their right mind actually thinks this?
One Piece fans are unmatched in terms of glazing!
Kishibe is the so-called strongest devil hunter yet he does nothing during the entirety or part two even when the world is being destroyed. He left one of the most powerful devils in the hands of a broke teenager who can barely read and he has practically no feats to his name. I doubt Fujimoto forgot he existed because he brought back Quanxi in the Church Arc. But that leaves the question of where did he go?
This guy is a genuine bum compared to real goats like Arima, Gojo, Sukuna, Mereum, Netero, Whitebeard, Yoriichi and All Might
