So you're all really going to let this slide without batting an eye ? A F-14D Super Tomcat and a French F-16AM as premium aircrafts ? Nothing strikes you as odd ?

I mean, Gaijin could have put the F-14D as a squadron vehicle (or even just in the TT), and could have copied and pasted an M2K like the C-S3 or S4/A2, which wouldn't have required any more effort than a damn Dutch F-16AM that nobody gives a damn about because, if you grind France, it's to play and get French aircrafts. Not American ones. Thanks, Captain Obvious !

Seriously, this game is starting to disappoint me more and more, and I feel like I'm the only one motivated to kick Gaijin's ass...

Why the hell won't gaijin let console players migrate accounts to PC

I've been playing the game for about 7 years and I played on Playstation for about 5 of those years, now I play on PC but with a Playstation account, everytime an update comes out and I wanna test new premiums and such I have to turn on the playstation, wishlist the premiums, turn off the playstation, go back onto the PC, check the wishlist, and test them from there, I cant see pack vehicles, I can't see event vehicles, I just wanna use the marketplace, or see vehicles straight off the PC instead of having to get on the playstation every time.

What's up with the small map spam?

I've been playing War thunder for almost a decade? I think? And the amount of small, city and CQC maps is making the game experience genuinely unbearable,

Having small maps is fine, mainly in arcade or mixed into ground realistic battles, but getting back to back Rhein, Abandoned factory and Serversk-13 just, makes me quit the match and play a different nation in the meantime (crew lock)

I'm not asking for huge open maps with 5km sight lines, no that's silly but decent medium sized maps where flanking routes and sniping positions exist, potentially with a small city portion for people to brawl in!

Loading into a match only to see that it is another sloppy,small map, with half of it cut off just makes me sigh.

Question about vehicle BR

Basically the title. Can someone please explain to me WHY is the type 81C at 11.7? LIke. It seems way too high. The missiles are decent but at that BR bracket you can encounter Buks, pantsirs, claws, irises and other top tier, absurd range radar SPAAs while you have no radar and not even that much range. At that BR you basically cant lock helis and have major trouble with planes if you're not positioned good enough or aren't incredibly lucky. And even if you are Lucky to launch, there is probably a friendly iris that already shot a missile out a LOT sooner at the same target. I KNOW there are two more SPAAs after it but why is it so high when the radar version is just .3 BR higher?

[SUGGESTION] Replace the useless MQ-1 with the Baykar Kızılelma Stealth UCAV at Top Tier (with historical justification for Japan & Italy trees + loadouts!)

I am completely done with how atrocious the free drone system is in Ground RB. The MQ-1 is a total joke at top tier. It moves like a brick, climbs at the speed of smell, and carries exactly two Hellfires while Pantsirs and TORs paint you from 12+ km away the second you render. If you are a ground main who rarely plays Air RB, you basically don't have proper CAS.

Instead of a slow, propeller-driven target drone, Gaijin should replace the top-tier baseline UCAV with the Baykar Bayraktar Kızılelma. It shifts the drone mechanic away from "low-impact sniper" into a modern, jet-powered, low-observable unmanned strike asset.

Here is how it would work, why it makes sense historically for certain tech trees, and the exact loadout configurations to make it viable.

Unlike the MQ-1, the Kızılelma is a supersonic/high-subsonic stealth drone powered by a turbofan engine (AI-25TLT/AI-322F).

  • Survival: You can actually maneuver, dive, and use terrain masking instead of hanging in the air like a pinata.
  • Low Radar Cross-Section (RCS): Internal weapons bays and a stealth airframe mean radar-directed SAMs won't instantly lock you from across the map.
  • Payload: It features 6 external wing hardpoints and 2 internal stealth weapons bays, letting you select massive custom configurations.

Historical Justification: Why Japan and Italy should get it

Gaijin loves using real-world defense agreements to flesh out smaller tech trees (like Thai vehicles in the Japanese tree). The Kızılelma fits perfectly into Japan and Italy via real-world procurement and joint ventures:

  1. 🇮🇩 🇯🇵 Japan Tree (via the Indonesian Procurement Link)

The "Loyal Wingman" Doctrine, Indonesia officially entered a framework agreement to procure the Kızılelma to act as a companion drone for their future 5th-generation manned fighters (specifically the TAI KAAN project they are heavily involved in).

Because Japan acts as the primary host for modern Indonesian military equipment in-game, this gives Japan a high-performance, survival-capable strike asset without needing a separate domestic aviation tree grind.

  1. 🇮🇹 Italy Tree (via the Leonardo Joint Venture & Carrier Ops)

LBA Systems Venture, Italy's aerospace giant Leonardo formed a 50:50 joint venture with Baykar to locally manufacture the Kızılelma at its Grottaglie factory in Southern Italy, integrating Western electronic warfare suites.

Italy is evaluating it to fly alongside the Leonardo M-346 FA light attack jet. Furthermore, the Kızılelma was designed from day one for short-takeoff/landing (STOBAL) capabilities, making it perfectly suited for Italian carriers like the ITS Cavour and ITS Trieste.

CAS Option A.

Best used for breaking aggressive enemy cap-rushes.

  • External Hardpoints: 24× L-UMTAS Anti-Tank Missiles (Utilizing 4× Quad-Launchers across the wing pylons). Features an 8 km range, tandem-charge warheads, and fire-and-update capability to wipe multiple MBTs consecutively.
  • Internal Stealth Bays: 2× Gökdoğan (BVRAAM) or 2× Gökhan (Ramjet-powered BVR missiles). If an enemy jet tries to bounce you while you're hunting tanks, you can swat them down from beyond visual range.

CAS Option B

Best used when the enemy has toxic, long-range SPAA networks active.

  • External Hardpoints: 4× Kuzgun Cruise Missiles + 2× Bozdoğan(Specifically the turbojet-powered Kuzgun-ER). You can loft these mini-cruise missiles from deep within your own airspace, letting their Imaging Infrared (IIR) terminal seekers autonomously track down and obliterate stationary Pantsirs or TORs.
  • Internal Stealth Bays: 2× Kuzgun

Bombs are ignoring armor, causing crazy flooding and ammo detonation.

I haven't played war thunder in a while and my friend asked me if he wanted to play a custom with me, of corse I said yes and when we where shooting and bombing each other i found out he was hitting my with fab 100 and only with fab 100s and i told him to bomb me with 3 and he did, as he bombed me i was flooding very fast and managed to sink me below 50% and by the time i was done repairing i was at 35% flooding, not only that he managed to detonate my mag multiple times and even managed to kill me in Soyuz where it has really good deck armor same as Richelieu. i don't know if it is a bug or whatnot but i dint remember bombs especially fab 100 managing to destroy me let alone sink me very fast to the point that by the time i manage to stop the flood I'm already dead because of the timer for capsizing let alone detonating against fab 100's. if anyone can tell me if this is happening to you that would be cool.

Which version of the m8 (USA Light Tank 9.7 BR) do we have in game.

I was was doing a little digging on YouTube and came across some videos of the booker and that made me think didnt it compete against a late varent of the m8 aka the XM1302. So that got me digging on the web and now im looking at Wikipedia and it looks like there are a good bit of variety left for either tec tree of event tank versions of the m8. But from what im reading on the warthunder page it sounds like this m8 is a combination of a few of them or either the first iteration and im not rly sure.

Update to my “good” military vehicles game

I released a new update, as usual everything is free, the new update brings a new mechanic and a new class of ground vehicles, the SPAA, allowing players that want only to play tanks, to be able to defend against enemy air attacks, so it adds 43 new anti air vehicles.

Some of the tanks added are: SIDAM 25, a whole lot of Russian milk trucks, M163, Falcon and the Gepard.

PGZ88: Fact checking War Thunder?

I'm gonna preface this with: I'm not the most gifted researcher. So I am more than happy to be wrong.

But something about the PGZ88 already smells funky from their announcement, and I was wondering if anyone else has looked into it?

From what I can find through sources provided on the Wiki(not the War Thunder Wiki) and additional yet sparse articles, the "vehicle history" is not entirely accurate.

I know, shocker, Gaijin either has sources I don't or gets stuff wrong. But I guess when I can see it and perhaps point it out, it makes me curious what the story really is and what their aim is.

According to a few of the articles and sources I looked at, they all said the PGZ88 wasn't good enough to be accepted into service. Yet Gaijin claims that it was.

Anyone who knows where to dig for the right sources look at stuff like this at all? Or am I just buggin?

Is Germany or Sweden better for air rb?

I don't have premium but I'm willing to grind Germany without it if it has better planes, I got Sweden to rank 6 but it feels impossible to grind past that because the planes are so bad. rank 5 was also pretty bad and I don't want to grind with those planes again, but if it's better I can do that. Germany also looks interesting, I already have it at rank 4 but if it has better planes than Sweden then I'll play it instead, especially considering it's one of the big 3 nations and is shorter than USA (and USSR too I think). I know German teammates are bad most of the time but it's air so it doesn't matter quite as much as it does in ground. UK is also cool and if it's easier than Germany or Sweden to grind then I'm fine with it, too.
