Scouting needs to be removed

  1. If we are to have scout vehicles, they shouldn’t just possess scouting capabilities; they should also have a lower combat value compared to pure battle tanks that lack these scouting features. Right now, we have so-called scout vehicles that are, in some cases, essentially just battle tanks with an added scout button. This does not make any sense, nor is it fair, especially towards medium tanks.
  2. Scouting does nothing to enhance tactical gameplay, since spotting enemies is already part of the players’ duties. Scouting simply makes that task easier; no actual tactical depth is gained.

Incredible double window shot!

I had to do it diagonally, making the gap much smaller. I used a type 60 and already struck him once through the same gap.

So Gaijin just made a new user agreement which admits to screenshotting users desktops

Its under the anti-cheat-data section, proofing the leaks correct.

So yea, thats all really.

Will you guys/should I accept the terms and conditions?

So even with all of this proof, I really can’t get it back? :/

Has anybody actually gotten their accounts back? If so what was the process? Did you have to provide as much proof?
I only heard of one dude who did but that was because he was on deployment.

Like yea I should’ve been more careful to put two step factors, but there’s no way anyone can say I’m lying. I’ve never even owned a pc. Nor lived in china or even know mandarin. I’ve literally only played on PlayStation my whole life. I’m ofc going to keep trying because that was literally a decade and so much money full of premiums that I can prove.

Edit*_ thank you to those who actually provided useful insights and answers instead of trying to make themselves feel well put together when I already admitted fault. I almost forgot how weird and power hungry y’all are omg, should try to go get some help. You guys give thousands of dollars to the snail sometimes in one day, god fucking forbid they use some of those funds to improve cybersecurity.

Still no M883 and 10.7

The M1 is not an enjoyable vehicle to play,

M774 while workable feels more like it should have gotten as the rank I APFSDS, M735 at 10.7 is an absolute joke.

In my expierence the Additonal speed and reload while useful doesn't outweight the drawbacks of the lack of shell performace, which I've found to be mainly to be angle performance and post pen damage as the competitor MBT's that being the Leopard 2's and the T-series tanks having much larger canons.

Tu-1 FAB-1000 bombs dealing zero damage to tanks after the recent nerf

Hi everyone. I’m starting this thread because the 1000kg FAB-M bombs on the Tu-1 simply aren't dealing damage to tanks—there is absolutely no damage against them, even though the bombs work very well against open-topped vehicles and AA guns. This issue started after the nerf to bombs and rockets, so I’m calling for the bomb damage to be reverted!

Today's changes to ToS: new language on AI training, account-sharing, "review bombing"

A lot of people got a request to re-agree to ToS today. Just thought I’d review the most recent changes in the document for those who click through this stuff, comparing it to the last edit from June, 2025:

1. section 2.2 (Age Verification) is greatly expanded. New wording:

Verification and Age-Based Features*. Gaijin may, at its sole discretion or or where required by applicable law, require the User to verify their age or provide information reasonably necessary to determine the User’s age or age category. Gaijin may also receive age-related information from third-party platforms, distributors or service providers where such information is made available. Gaijin may use such information to:*

  • verify the User’s eligibility to access or use the Service(s);
  • determine whether parental or guardian consent is required;
  • enable, disable, restrict or otherwise tailor access to certain Service(s), features or functionality based on the User’s age;
  • apply age-appropriate safety measures; and -comply with applicable law. If the User fails to complete any required age verification process, fails to provide any information reasonably requested for such purpose, or is determined to be ineligible to access all or part of the Service(s), Gaijin may suspend, restrict or terminate access to the relevant Service(s) or features in accordance with these Terms.

2. section 3.5 (Ban on Account Sharing). An explicit line against account-sharing has been added: “Each Account is personal to the User and may not be shared with or used by any other person.”

Further, the ToS also details what Gaijin can make you do to prove you’re not account-sharing:

3.5.A. Gaijin may, at its sole discretion, require the User to complete reasonable security measures in order to create, access, recover or continue using an Account. Such measures may include identity verification, age verification, email verification, multi-factor authentication, secure device verification or other reasonable security procedures. Gaijin may temporarily restrict access to the Account or the relevant Service(s) until such measures have been completed to Gaijin’s reasonable satisfaction.

3. section 4.1 (use of Gaijin IP) adds a clause specifically prohibiting use for AI training without permission. “For clarity, this license does not permit the use of the Service(s), Game(s), or any related content, data, or materials for AI training, machine learning, database creation, model development, or similar purposes, unless expressly authorized by Gaijin in writing.” (repeated in greater detail in section 4.3.5)

4. section 8 (User conduct): New user conduct prohibition added to the list of don’t dos: “8.1.4. Circumventing or Manipulating the Service(s). Circumventing, manipulating or otherwise misusing the intended operation of the Service(s), including their mechanics, matchmaking, ranking systems or other functionality, in order to obtain an unfair or unintended advantage.”

5. section 12.3.2 (Dispute Resolution). Arbitration authority for USA and Canada changed from American Arbitration Association (the non-profit) to National Arbitration and Mediation (the company) and the stipulation arbitration for players in those countries has to take place in California has been removed.

6. EULA, section 3.2.3 (Malicious Use). Paragraphs on bots and third-party software amalgamated and expanded into:

use or attempt to use prohibited software, hardware or other technical means that automate gameplay, alter the Game(s) or their functionality, bypass technical restrictions or anti-cheat measures, provide an unfair advantage, or otherwise compromise the integrity or intended operation of the Game(s). This includes, without limitation, cheats, hacks, bots, macros, scripts, unauthorized modifications, spoofers, device emulators and virtual machines used to circumvent anti-cheat measures, DMA hardware and firmware, hardware identity modification tools and similar technologies;

Code of Conduct (which also prohibits this) has also been updated with similar more specific language.

7. EULA, section 3.2.11 (Bypassing Sanctions). New section added to the EULA explicitly forbidding going around sanctions that have been imposed on you as a player:

3.2.11. Bypassing sanctions. All Players are expected to respect the decisions made by the Administration. A Player must not attempt to evade, circumvent or interfere with a sanction, including by creating or using another Account, using an Account controlled by another person, concealing or altering device identity, using hardware or software spoofing tools, or employing any other technical or organizational means to regain access.

The matching Code of Conduct language (which already prohibited this) has also been updated.

There are also some additional changes to the Code of Conduct document of note:

8. Ban on account selling made more explicit. Language added: “Trading, selling, purchasing or otherwise transferring an Account may result in a temporary or permanent Game(s) access restriction, including deletion of the relevant Account, and is not limited to a Mute”

9. Ban on discouraging others made more explicit. Language added: " organize or participate in coordinated attempts to manipulate ratings or reviews of the Game(s) or related Service(s) (“review bombing”), or otherwise disrupt the Game(s) or its community."

10. Permanent muting removed. Conduct Code violations used to have “permanent Mute” as the worst thing that could happen to you in terms of being muted in-game/on forums, etc. That has now been changed on the worst offence worthy of a mute to “365 days.” Note this is different from a temporary or permanent game ban, which they can also still impose if the conduct offense is serious enough.

11. Misuse of complaint system change. New option for misuse of complaint system added to the existing options of temporary or permanent game ban. Now they can also (for a lesser offence): “Misuse of the complaint system may result in a temporary or permanent restriction on the Player’s ability to submit complaints.”

12. Griefing language change. Added to the things that count as griefing now (on top of the usual blocking, team killing, etc): “interfering with [other player] objectives or otherwise deliberately hindering their participation.”

13. New restrictions on virtualized environments. New section explicitly prohibiting use of virtualization to circumvent anticheat: “Restricted Technical Environments. Access to War Thunder sessions protected by the kernel-level anti-cheat system may be restricted if the Game(s) client is operated through virtualized environments or other technical configurations that are incompatible with, interfere with, or circumvent Gaijin’s security or anti-cheat measures. Players must not attempt to bypass such restrictions or disguise the nature of the execution environment. Any such attempt may be treated as circumvention of the anti-cheat system and may result in penalties applicable to cheating, including a permanent Game(s) access restriction.”

14. New restriction on collusion. New section explicitly prohibiting collusion with opponents. “Circumventing or Manipulating Gameplay. Circumventing or manipulating the Game(s), their mechanics, matchmaking, battles or intended operation for personal gain or to obtain an unfair advantage, such as by colluding with opponents or other Players.”

Privacy Policy Changes. Last big document that was changed today is the privacy policy. Lot of little changes, it’s a very extensive rewrite, just two I’d say are worthy of interest:

15 What data anti-cheat can collect specified: The new privacy policy details what personal data COULD be collected as part of anti-cheat efforts. (It does state elsewhere data for anti-cheat purposes is NOT retained for the majority of player):

Anti-Cheat Data. Our anti-cheat systems automatically collect and analyze technical data from your device to detect cheats, hacks, and other unauthorized software. This may include your IP address, game-related identifiers (such as your in-game name and account ID), hardware and device identifiers (such as device IDs, serial numbers), information about your operating system, information about game-related and operating system files and memory, information about running processes, services, drivers, applications, and other executable code relevant to cheat detection, limited visual data related to the game environment (such as screenshots), and file names and file paths associated with the above, which may incidentally include personal information such as your operating system username.

16 Removal of other users as people who are entitled to see your data: The following section of the privacy policy, stating what parts of your personal data is publicly shared with other users, has been removed entirely. Take that fwiw.

Gaijin Users*. Other users of our Services may see some of your data when certain Services features allow for it. For example, your username, avatar (profile photo), and your linked account data (such as Steam, PSN, Apple Game Center, Google Play, Xbox account), which are visible to other players They can also view any content you publicly share within our Services and social network communities (such as public messages, uploaded files, etc.), as well as some of your game results (including in-game ratings, leaderboards, and achievements).*

2 Minutes of Raw Infantry CQB. Last CBT Gameplay + Thorough Review

Hello union workers,

I wanted to talk about infantry for a while, and managed to capture this footage from the last CBT. This recording crashed my game, so given my limited hardware, I could not record or share any more footage. Enjoy the typical WT in-game chat as well :p

To start, I would like to share my unfiltered opinion on infantry, before jumping into the boring details most wont read. I genuinely have been waiting for each CBT since I played the very first one. The game offers something unique that other competitors don't. I think it fixes my biggest icks when it comes to games like Tarkov, Squad, Battlefield and brings the best of everything all in one game. I love squad, but hate the Vehicle warfare. I love Tarkov, but hate that bullets feel like nerf darts. I love Battlefield, but hate its pace and the vehicles. What war thunder does well is that it brings the environment from BF6, brings the good armor system from Tarkov, brings the slow realistic pacing from squad, while adding the unique touch of war thunder and its ballistics. There's still lots of work ahead, lots of potential, but for a CBT it is not bad at all.

The best thing so far, is that they have actually been listening to feedback. It felt like they listened to me and that feels good. I will speak more on this later.

What the game does really well:

  • Slow pacing
  • Ammo, ballistics and armor
  • Vehicle Combat
  • Maps/environments
  • Weapons (recoil, hip fire, bore over sight, barrels don't clip, scopes)

What needs work:

  • Animations
  • Movement
  • Servers
  • Sound
  • Balancing
  • Gamemodes
  • Explosions vs Infantry
  • Health/Vitality system

Slow Pacing: I love that and you can see it in the attached video. You don't see anyone sprinting and jumping. The armor/loadout you take play a crucial role in your mobility. Exactly like how heavy armor makes you turn slower in Tarkov. I don't remember if we had an ergonomic stat, but it is clear and obvious when you hold the SVD vs when you hold the .50cal.

Ammo, ballistics and armor: Armor finally makes sense in a damn video game. Tarkov was really close, but I hate how you can empty a 30 rnd mag into someones head and do nothing. All bullets feel lethal here. 9mm will struggle against armor, but it will still kill a person in a reasonable time. 5.56 and 5.45 take less time to kill, but will still be stopped by armor. SVD will go right through your chest plate. Shotguns are mostly stopped by armor, but at point blank its almost a one shot anywhere, but the armor plate. Seems like the pellets do enough damage to the limbs to secure the kill up close. Armor is also just focuses where the plate actually is, unlike many other games. Ballistics seem to be on point. It is VERY hard to shoot down an FPV drone at full speed.

Vehicle Combat: What can I say? it's WT after all. You have the ballistics and death cams from ground battles, so it feels just like home. Worried about infantry? I've seen abrams and T90s tank countless RPG hits and survive. It really puts things into perspective and that is what I abolutely love. HE is super deadly here as well. I also love that it puts the scale into perspective. You can see little humans walking past your tank. Finally, WT feels alive. I miss the IFVs, and wish they would add the IFV, the 2 MBTs, the SPAA all in one lineup + the heli.

Maps/Environments: This doesn't get talked about a lot. Let's give credit where its due. Even the smallest map isn't that small. You can access every building and rooftop in game. I doubt there was a single thought given to balance, but its so unbalanced, it balances itself. And yk what? I love that. Fuck having developers hold our hands and create a 3 lane map design like an esports game. Just throw us in Iraq and we will fight it out from any building, from any window, from any story. Just like Chechnya. I also want to stress that I am an arabic speaker, and the Iraqi map has lots of impressive details. They put lots of effort into translation and arabic graffiti. The stores and locations make sense and feel real.

Weapons: Not perfect at all, let me start by saying that. The recoil was off in the last 2 CBTs, but I had no issues with it whatsoever this CBT and you can clearly see in the video. It could have been the animations holding it back, which seems to have received major improvements this CBT. All I can say is that nothing is special here, but everything makes sense and I want nothing more than that when it comes to a shooter. Ballistics make everything better.

Animations: by far has to be one of the biggest setbacks in the mode. It seems to be holding many things behind. It affects the weapons, recoil, movement and overall smoothness of the gameplay. It has improved by miles this CBT, so I am at least looking forward for the future. But this is by far one of the worst things. THOUGH, the ragdoll physics are insane. They dont categorize under 'Animations', but thought I should include that here. Almost forgot, the transport vehicle animations are horrible tho, ngl.

Movement: Not bad, I like how its slow. But the animations really hold it back. I like how you cant go prone on any surface, again, unlike most other games, but gosh its so awkward and unsmooth to be in the prone position. I am afraid that jumping sometimes feel powerful, and I can see people spamming space while sprinting to avoid snipers and move faster. Let's avoid having B-hopping gaijin.

Servers: the kryptonite of infantry. Along with the animations, its also holding the CBT back. Though I must admit, this CBT didnt have server issues on Day 1, and had more evident ones on Day 2.

Sound: Was awful in some areas, but it was pretty damn good in the last CBT. Still very buggy sometimes. Could be server or hardware issues on my side because there is so much being processes, but my guns would stop making sounds. That applies to rifles, tanks and SPAA and Helis. I was happy to see plenty of improvement. The RPK sounded really nice and I am sure that was not the case before. The .50cal sniper/mg and tank canon fire also sound unique from an infantry perspective.

Balancing: they did a good job this CBT, but now I think Tanks are too strong. I don't wanna comment more without seeing more of the tests. Most things will change anyways. What you all need to know is that there is good work being put towards balance. I would wish to see more equipment, and I think this will bring some balance too.

Gamemodes: Not sure if this is the right time to formulate an opinion because this is still a one day long test. But I don't like how short the games feel, and I hope to see more innovation here. What I also wish to see is no respawn limit, but again maybe its for testing purposes. Lastly, would like to have the option for early spawn for all vehicles, and have total all out warfare at all stages of the battle.

Explosions vs Infantry: they SUCK ! that's all! RPG hits barely do anything to infantry if not a direct hit. Same with drones and IFV HE belts.

Health/Vitality System: this is not an issue right now, but I personally hate it. I think my clip shows why. It's too easy too heal and cover bleeds. You should be less encouraged to get shot at. Maybe having a medic would help?

That was a very long post so I will start to cut it short. I mentioned earlier that they listened to suggestions, and mine was to make the scout UAV more useful. The shortened the spot cooldown time, and now you can spot for your team in RB, just like in GRB. I recommend that we keep providing constructive feedback, and I really do have high hopes for this mode.

Some idiots almost lost me my account for claiming I use AI. This took hours in draft, so I will not tolerate any of those claims. I took the time to write all of this, and would at least appreciate not being accused and judged based on my formatting/emoji use, when you didn't bother to properly read.

Im running this on a laptop 3050 4GB VRAM, 16GB RAM and almost no storage space left. Was surprised to be running it at decent frames most of the times. My settings are ugly, and my recording setup didn't do me justice.

Thanks if you made it that far, and let me know how the game looks to you!

How many of you carry IR missiles at top tier?

I recently started bringing them to top tier and this was my first chance to use them. Most of the time I never get within IR missile range. Video related.

I feel like its a huge surprise for most top tier players since they assume everyone only carries radar missiles at top tier.

The Fact top tier jets dont start with chaff still is unbelievable.

Just what the title says, its unbelievable an SU-30SM has to grind without chaff when the regular experience, even sneaking around flanking routes, has 3 people jumping you from all sides, you can't notch multiple directions against the absolute highest rank AAMs, hell, even notching 2 from in front and the sides without chaff is *practically* impossible, possible perhaps in say, an F-16 or Gripen with maxed performance, but at that point....you just have Chaff.

Opinions on the f4j

I have the f4j. So far I would say it isn't bad, but it isn't excellent. The aim7f like going for stuff I'm not even locked on, and you just play 12.7 the whole time. Overall, it is enjoyable, but just play the 12.3 fa18

80% of the team gone in first 5 minutes against Germany.

I tried, 330SP from nuke.

What's the problem fighting against Germany? I don't get it. Yes, their vehicles are stable on the move, yes their guns are awesome but Germany players are usually most unaware, self centered baboons you'll ever see. They will push your spawn within first 3 minutes because they are wannabe Rommels, you can just flank them. Tigers are weak all around, except for mantlet, Panthers only have a strong UFP.
