During the Eden interview, Twilight had already told himself that they needed to avoid provoking Swan. Yet, when Swan implied that Yor was a bad wife, Twilight responds with "And who are you to-" before Yor tells him its okay. And then he calms himself down. He had to put in the effort to calm himself down. He reminds himself that she isn't his real wife.

Then after the Real Mama vs. 2nd Mama question, Twilight asked for a different question, and Anya cries. Twilight controls himself again. He had to remind himself that they are not a real family. Yor gets angry and Swan insults her again. And Twilight loses it. And even then, his actions and thoughts are out of sync.

The reason we KNOW none of it was for optics or for the mission is because he follows it up with "I can't believe I did that" and "I'm unfit as a spy".

I know some of us believe that he has been in love since day 1, and some believe that he is only fond of Yor, but still isn't in love with her.

I am in the boat that he has felt responsible and protective of Anya and Yor since Day 1 with each of them. And that's the reason he has to keep "for the mission"ing it all away to justify why he always picks the option that makes his girls happy instead of what's practical.

Practically, he should have stayed quiet in the interview. Practically, he shouldn't care that Yor likes apple puddings. Practically, he should push Anya to study more and scold her for getting any of her Tonitrus. Practically, he shouldn't care if Bond gets walks. Practically, he shouldn't care that Yor's coworkers treated her shittily. Practically, he shouldn't have given Anya the castle and princess reward. Practically, he shouldn't have felt guilty for testing Yor (after Yuri's visit).

He hasn't taken too many practical decisions since he brought Anya back from the kidnappers in Mission 1. The times he does lose his mind at Anya are overwhelmingly when she is in danger. He can't stand her tears. And if she is happy about something, he gives in.

Ironically, Anya was forced to study and not allowed to have fun with researchers much more than with the spy who adopted her with the sole purpose of making her an imperial scholar. Of course, that's not the bar for parenthood. And Twilight and Yor are fabulous at giving her a childhood they couldn't even have dreamed of themselves.

But, he adopted her with a purpose, which he barely remembers on a day-to-day basis. And from very early on. He married Yor for a specific reason, none of which involve keeping her happy. Protecting their happiness isn't a new advent. It was something he's always been doing.

I’m sharing this analysis from facebook about the importance of shaded speech bubbles. I relied on a translator for this, so I apologize if there are any errors.

"We’ve already discussed how important speech bubbles are in the manga and how they can add different layers of meaning to a scene. Some people have suggested that the shaded speech bubble in the latest chapter implies Loid is lying in his response, so I decided to go back through the manga to see where else that specific style of shaded speech bubble has been used. Here is what I found:

• Loid saying he loves Yor.

• Yor asking Anya not to tell Loid about her confession.

• Yor telling Loid that to Anya he's a wonderful father.

• The revelation that Bond can see the future.

• Sylvia feeling relieved that peace was maintained after stopping the canine incident.

• Yor thanking Yuri for giving her the candy they used to eat as kids

• Matthew thanking his wife for cooking for him and for her company.

From what I can see, the characters are being sincere in all of these scenes, but there's always something hidden behind their words. For example:

• Yor accepted her feelings for Loid, but it's something she wants to hide from him.

• Anya truly thinks Loid is a wonderful father, but Yor is unaware that he isn't her real father.

• It's revealed that Bond can see the future, but that's a hidden truth only Anya knows.

• Wise managed to maintain peace after the canine incident, but that incident showed how fragile that peace is.

• Matthew appreciates his wife's company and is happy to have her by his side, but he's hiding his true identity from her.

• I couldn't find a clear meaning in Yor's scene, but I suppose it can be related to the fact that her childhood wasn't as innocent as it appears.

So... seeing the pattern of all the scenes, for me, Loid's confession doesn't imply that it's a vile lie as some believe. My interpretation is that in his case the hidden layer behind his words is that he's being sincere on a subconscious level, even if his conscious mind isn't willing to admit it yet"

The SSS now knows what Twilight looks like. This might bite back Loid later on even when he escapes the situation.

He has to be extra careful now to not get caught during his missions

EDIT: Sorry, I worded the description poorly. They obviously know Loid is Yuri's brother in law, but in case of a future Twilight mission, he has to be extra careful to not expose himself because now they know what TwiLoid looks like. I think Endo might tie that plot point down the road

Found this while reading BTR and thought it was funny so I decided to post it here

I know this post is probably gonna be a Failure, since Im new on this, but I kinda curious on see opiniones about Yuri, since he is my favorite character And i see A LOT of People hating on him.

Honestly, i really love him, but I need to Admit that sometimes he is kinda... Weird? More with his obsession with Yor, i really hope we can see more about him And i don't know, Maybe that he can control his damn obsession with Yor...

I am pretty sure she is just 6 and at that age, personally I used to only be hooked over cartoons and never watched any romance. Just like Anya. Idk it's just weird for me to see these kids talk about romance and give romantic advice.

How come her parents don't say anything? Or even Martha? 😭😭

on page 16, almost the entire page is full of bubbles containing questions from the SSS workers, Loid’s internal thoughts, and the sound of his own heartbeat. he is also sweating and making the friendly smile with his eyes closed he often does when he’s lying

but as soon as they ask if he loves Yor, his racing thoughts and heartbeat stop. he also stops sweating, and is no longer putting on his lying face

the simple mention of Yor was enough to calm him down in a room full of SSS agents.

And yes, I am also deeply interested in the occult 😂

This is from Mission 23. Twilight wore such a pissed expression in the first image. And then look at how soft it becomes when he sees a sleeping Anya! Awwwwwww!

Honestly though, even before that mission, he wasn't able to get very angry with Anya. The moment she makes a sad face, he's a goner.

After all the analysis done by fans, I would have liked to verify Loid's salary. :'(

Although I would also have liked to see the answers to all the questions they asked him but didn't show us.

What do you think he answered in the other questions? Or did they simply ask him so many questions at once that he didn't have time to answer?
