In a lot of official art for Spy X Family, it usually involves Loid in his spy gear and Yor in her assassin gear, and they’re always facing each other’s backs.

We know that in both Loid and Yor’s professions, it’s incredibly dangerous to trust anyone as their jobs constantly expose them to danger.
But, in this official art, they’re both facing each other’s backs, but what does this have to do with anything?

Well, the back is a VERY vulnerable part of the body. It has the spinal cord, which, if damaged, can lead to paralysis, and even brain death.
But they’re both leaving their backs unprotected. In both of their careers, they sustain multiple injuries on a daily basis. And here’s my point.

For both of them to put themselves in such a vulnerable position where one strike to the back could potentially KILL them, that usually indicates a whole nother level of trust. And both of them are wearing their secret identity uniforms. And I find it absolutely spectacular that despite the fact they’re both on the clock and aren’t playing an act anymore, they still trust each other that much, which shows that that trust is genuine.

I looove these details and noticing just how much effort is put into this art!! 🤩

(English isn’t my first language) I enjoyed chapter 114 so much even to the point of crying lol . I just admire their relationship and I can’t wait for feather depth of their backstory. What happened to their parents , how Yor got recruited into garden , Yuri’s school life anything to be honest. I hardly see any one talking about their identity reveal, is so underrated. What would be Yuri’s reaction, would Yor be sad she couldn’t protect Yuri enough? How exactly would the reveal happen, will they get into an argument? I absolutely love they both have their jobs to protect each other ,they’ll really do anything for one another

My hot take is that:
I don’t believe Yor is underutilized or forgotten like some say, only her assassin job is.
She’s always present with the family and we do get plenty of time with her to understand her feelings about her job and her place in the family, I’ve always believed she’s a great character and a good antithesis to Loid. Maybe it’s just me but I like seeing Family/Mother Yor as much as assassin Yor so I don’t really complain much. I just simply think we need more arcs of her assassin job I feel like that would solve the issue of people feeling she is underutilized, but other wise I think she is present just in different ways.

My friend mentioned this to me while reading:
>!In Chapter 89, Chloe tells Yuri "People die", and then in Chapter 132, Yor says almost the same thing to Loid. And both of them with the same expressions as well!<
Is there some significance or are we just reading into it to much?

I really hope we get to explore Yor's childhood more. I think her past is just as sad and painful as Loid's, but in a different way.

Imagine losing your parents at such a young age and having to become an assassin just to provide for your little brother. While other kids were enjoying their childhood, Yor had to sacrifice hers to give Yuri a better life.

I really hope Endo gives her backstory more attention. I feel like there's so much more to Yor than what we've seen so far.

I really like his disguise from the tennis arc; the longer hair and beard suit him well.

I feel that too many people people who ship these two just don’t get how their dynamic work and get Loid’s character completely wrong and I have to admit, it’s getting increasingly aggravating.

Several people keep asking why Loid isn’t suspicious of Yor every time she demonstrates her strength or hits him and people keep claiming that he’s either too stupid, blinded by love, or a combination of both in that he’s a “simp” for her. People are claiming that Loid is head over heels or obsessed with Yor when it’s not the case.

I’m getting tired of these claims as it’s causing a mischaracterization. We see Loid investigating her after discovering that Yuri is a SSS officer and stated that he and Yor don’t pry in each other’s lives to maintain their respective covers. I don’t know why people keep claiming that he’s stupid with Yor just because we already know that she’s an assassin. Being strong doesn’t instantly strikes you out an assassin. Did everyone forget about Bill Watkins?

Finally, I believe that Loid’s feelings for Yor is heavily exaggerate. Make no mistake, he is definitely is becoming more comfortable and fond of her but not to an insane degree and it’s not just her but the family as a whole. It’s called Spy X FAMILY.

I know people are about to claim that it’s just a joke but there are so many characters in this show that are also rightfully defended from common misinterpretations of their character, joke or not, such as Anya’s performance in school. It’s only fair that Loid receives the same treatment.

Since the new chapter is coming tomorrow after a break, it’ll probably be the start of a new arc. What I really want is for it to be the start of Yor’s backstory arc because I think it’s time we should see her backstory in detail! But I’d be happy with whatever we get.
