Right because a series that tackled genocide in its 3rd flipping episode is the definition of “family-friendly”.

And that’s just one of the many examples the original series tackles WHILE being a general audience show. Korra in some ways is more political than the original series. What’s this film’s excuse?

I don’t know how true this statement is (god I hope it’s nothing but a rumor) but if it ends up being true then at this point, what are we doing with this franchise anymore 🤦.

What is a cartoon that you're suprised is still making episodes?

Happy Tree Friends first aired in 2000* and it blew up. However around the 2010s, it fell off and went into multiple haitus and was thought to be ended.

However in 2025-ish, MondoMedia announced that the show will now resume production of new episodes funded by YouTube memeberships.

*Although it was released in 2000, there's a popular misconception that it was aired in 1999, there's proof that the first aired in 2000, but the pilot did release in 1999 though. https://youtube.com/shorts/Bm4wZinvr0M

What show are you most hoping for a season renewal for?

Besides the fact that it’s a great Superman show, besides the fact I want to see Jimmy x Kara become endgame, besides the fact that for whatever flaws of this last season it has it’s still maintained as a really good show, besides ALL OF THAT, the main reason I want show to get renewed is that it has earned it. It has stayed at the top 10 of max’s most watched for weeks and its ratings have skyrocketed from seasons previous. If it was any live action other show, its renewal would be a forgone conclusion, but because of Paramount/WB deal keeping things in flux, they can’t commit to more animation. Animation deserves the respect of being rewarded like any other show when it succeeds in ratings and reviews.
