Rewatching Sailor Moon, saw this
I’m guessing I’m not the only person to have caught this, but it’s my first time seeing this and I cackled.

Okay, something has always perplexed me about Tuxedo Mask. This dude has the ability to throw a rose so hard that it sticks into concrete. That's nuts.
Is it the rose itself, or is Tuxedo Mask able to throw any object that hard? I would love to see Tuxedo Mask arrive and throw a steel folding chair or something.
I was a huge user of both chat sites back in the day (late 90s/early 2000s). Back then, I used the handle Rini (aka Small Lady). I think about some of the people back then more often than I thought I would considering I am knocking on being 40. 🤣🤣
I wonder where AT, Eternal Sailor Moon, and SSJ Meaghan are these days. I hope everyone is well, and loves themselves. 🥺💚
Rewatched a Dic episode Naughty and Nice, and I’m so startled by the difference after only watching VIZ for so long. It’s night and day. I grew up watching Sailor Moon Dic on Cartoon Network and continued well into my adulthood. It was then that I learned how dic butchered the show but at the time, it was all I knew and loved. I saw a fan dub online of Season 1 finale and was up all night after finding out the sailor guardians DIED and were not kidnapped like I was raised to believe. It was also a gut punch seeing tuxedo mask torture Usagi before her fight with Beryl.
I lived by the dic music soundtrack and felt like I was listening to 70s disco when I heard the original music for the first time. Being a 90s kid, I loved Dic’s action-packed and beautiful melodic music and magical sound effects. I loved the voices and acting at the time too but now after being so used to VIZ the characters in Dic sound so over the top. The censorship and educational twist/marketing gimmicks they added in are nostalgic but so unbelievably crazy.
But when I first started the VIZ dub, I could barely tell some of the voices apart. It was like I had to retrain my brain but now it’s my fave version. I’ve grown quite fond of the original music as I’ve gotten older! It gives a more magical and authentic feeling as if the creators perfected and took pride in their work. I also now adore the voice performances of the VIZ cast.
The growth I’ve had on this journey is wild. I still like dic but not as much as I used to. I loved the actors performances but some of the voices and sounds they made are extremely distracting for me now. However, I still think it worked for what it was back then.
When I discovered the sailor scouts actually die in the big battle season 1, it haunted me for a little while like I was so shocked and sad and felt like I was lied to somehow 😂 but now that is my absolute favorite episode for all the reasons.
Recently, many older manga and anime series are being remade to more faithfully follow the original works. In the case of Sailor Moon, there were two anime adaptations by Toei Animation and a live-action series.
Even though people like the 90s anime version because it's very nostalgic, unfortunately we have to face the reality that it doesn't follow the manga 100%.Because while the anime was airing at the same time that Naoko was still working on the manga, which was not yet finished.
There were many changes such as filler episodes and arcs, personality changes like what happened with Rei Hino/Sailor Mars, and sometimes the animation quality wasn't the best in the original first seasons.
In the case of the 2014 remake, Sailor Moon: Crystal, the most criticized aspects were the animation quality of the first seasons and the alterations of some details from the manga to the anime. Even this 2014 version is somewhat more faithful to Naoko Takeuchi's original work.
But what people generally dislike is really Toei Animation, not only in Sailor Moon but other works like Dragon Ball and Saint Seiya. For example, do they end up having several negative alterations compared to their original works?
Doing a new series on here where I shine a light on a Sailor Moon character, similar to The Unlucky Tug’s Sodor Finest series, about which era of Sailor Moon characters shine the most. Tell me down below which era of Nephrite from the Sailor Moon series shines the most.
Imo it’ll have to be the 90s anime. I like how he‘s the first of Sailor Moon’s foes who actually redeems himself and acts protective to Naru. I like the redemption, but episode 24 remains a least favorite for me and I don’t think his relationship with Naru would’ve worked out since Naru at the start of the anime is 14 and Nephrite is 19 years old. I don’t ship it at all. His and Zoisite’s hatred of each other is pretty funny though in the original manga they don’t have rivalry with one another.
Anyways, share your thoughts and opinions down below. It’s okay if you don’t agree, it’s all just opinions after all.

Only 7.99 for each season (parts only). Great way to see the classic for a good price!
You guys wouldn’t believe what I found on Facebook marketplace! I scored version 4 of the art book series printed in HongKong so I’m pretty sure it’s Cantonese language print! If someone could correct me that would be great! Happy to post photos of it here as well.
They came with some other merchandise too I haven’t seen some of these amazing posters before - has anyone got any idea on what they’re worth? I’ll be keeping them and framing them professionally!
And I received a bunch of trading cards. I’m going to look at selling those as I don’t collect unfortunately.
I still can’t believe my luck!! I paid $180 aud
Btw, it's easy to forget because of her personality, but Usagi IS actually very beautiful, especially when she wears skirts.
