Really dumb question but how do I research in Thrawn's Revenge as the New Republic ? I am told its in a political menu but I can't seem to find what its referring to? I am guessing its somewhere on the wheel in the bottom left but not sure where i upgrade. As the tech tree seems to do nothing.

Thank in advance for my stupidity.

Does Nescaflowne exist in full anywhere ? Or is the parody lost to the internet now ?

Basically as the title says, been curious to check out since someone suggested to me.

But all I see is random chunks on youtube like 3/7, 5/7, but not all 7 parts.

I know it was popular way back in the day of the fandom, but curious if the whole thing is lost now?

Thank you in advance for any information that can be provided.

What are the most 80's inspired tracks of Beast in Black ? Looking to share with someone in their 60s. I will also happily take other 80's styled power metal songs.

Basically as the title says.
Listened to quite a few Beast in Black Songs and I know quite a few of them have a 80s vibe like Sweet True Lies and Power of the Beast.

But I was curious if anyone had any other suggestions that are 80's inspired I can share with someone in their 60's to show them the fun of Power Metal.
Barring that happy to take any other 80's style inspired power metal songs to share.

Thank you in advance for any feedback .

Well People its finally here. Once and for all I will be proven right or wrong on Superboy, Lois Lane and Same Lane's heritage. Descended from the king of Cool himself . Arthur Herbert Fonzarelli. THE FONZ!!!!!!!

Since Season 1 I have been shouting this theory from the rooftops .

That Arthur Herbert Fonzarelli fought in the Korean war , met a local woman and moved back to the states where they are the grandfather or possible great grandfather of Lois Lane.

That the level of coolness all these generations later is still present from  Lieutenant General Arthur Fonzarelli in Sam, Lois and now Conner Kent.

This is where it all comes together people!!!!!!!!

You know going back to Star Wars Empire at War it really puts how refined Stellaris is in perspective

Weird topic but but bear with me.

So for Star Wars Week I grabbed Star Wars Empire at War Gold because it was on sale and I played it when younger, hoping now that I am older now I will get the mechanics.

(Finishing up a vanilla game up galactic conquest before I jump into the mods).

And the thing playing it after so many years after Stellaris is.....how many little things its lacking.

  • Like a easy menu to see all fleets instead of scrolling across the map
  • More noticeable notifications when enemy fleets are moving towards your controlled worlds.
  • More movement speeds besides paused, regular and super fast.
  • MOVING UNITS WHILE PAUSED AND IT TAKING EFFECT WHEN UNPAUSED!!!!!!! This was actually the thing that made me start making this topic. I hadn't realized how much I had taken it for granted in Stellaris when I paused the game, sent 3 fleet armadas to a border skirmish, a legendary leader fleet for a peace conference, a construction ship to build a megastructure , have a science ship research debris and add several alloy factories to my homeworld. All while paused and then when I unpause it takes effect. In Empire at War I can pause and observe stuff, but I can't issue commands when paused, so I got to be aware of what ever is happening with the enemy , flicking to their factory worlds waiting for a potential invasion I got to stop.

Now its unfair to compare Empire At War to Stellaris considering Stellaris is 10 years newer then EAW.

But I find it fascinating with Stellaris now 10 years old , a lot of its under the hood ease of use design really holds up despite how much we joke it brings super computers to its knees in the late game.

There was obviously a lot of thought put into the design of the games interfaces and mechanics

Is there any scenes in the Macross 7 where the Fire Bomber band plays to a angry group of Protodeviln or Zentraedi ? Looking to mash up such a potential scene with Rolling Stones bit from Simpsons for a parody.

Before you ask, yes Macross 7 is on my to watch list, especially now that its available on Disney Plus in full, it would be good to binge.

But before I get around to that I was curious is there any scenes in the series where the Fire Bomber band plays to a group of disgruntled aliens like the Protodeviln or Zentraedi ?

Any suggestions and episode numbers would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know of any mecha series with scenes of a robot covered in fluid, preferably white but if not I can likely Chroma Key to white. Looking for scenes for a parody idea

Before anyone asks. No its not what you are thinking of.

(That's why I didn't put the 18+ tag on).

I am planning to mash it up with the American Dad clip of robots being non milk proof.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8CsrZj-XbFM

0-0:15 for reference.

So something white fluid leaking from a mecha from either the mouth, joints or other places I think could work well for the joke.

If not white , then Chroma key with the fluids should be doable.

Putting some anime parody ideas to the side if we ever get AMV Hell 9.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Counselor Troi a number of crew members have come forward with complaints after the last saucer separation you performed . Its going to take so many California class tractor beams to pull the monorail out of Springfields gravity well.

So thinking of finally taking a crack at Infinite Space as it seems like a unique experience.

However due to it being sort of a under the radar game there is only so much on the game, a lot of it from years ago that isn't well formatted.

So I was curious if anyone has any suggestions for a first time player.

  • Like always check X place at every planet you stop at.
  • Or these starships classes are best to invest in
  • Or make sure you recruit X character at this specific point, because if you don't they are lost the whole game
  • Or which route split to take

Anything people can weigh in I would greatly appreciate.

...You have no clue how frustrating it was to get these screenshots while playing, so much reloading save states.

And yes I did go through 1919 music hits to find one that would fit the Magic Carpet Ride vibe.

In 1996 Chester J. Lampwick's Rocket car was the first human Automobile to break the warp barrier catching the attention of the Rigellians . While doing so he was blasting the 1919 classic A Pretty Girl Is Like A Melody by John Steel

Basically as the title says, I have some left over steam funds and poked at the Star Wars Games on sale for May 4th and Battlefront 2 is there.

I have fond memories of playing it on my friends PS2 and I figured I would try playing it as I understand the collection version had....issues.

But I want to know for a game this old if it works with controllers or is it all mouse/keyboard.
Got a wireless logitech controller I use for a lot of these situations, so I thought I would ask before buying.

(Also considering Empire at War...but fine with mouse/keyboard there so don't need to ask).

Still processing my thoughts on the game.

But I will say right off the bat I can see why its so beloved.

So much content, story beats, gameplay, characters interactions, secrets and all shoved into a DS cart nearly 20 years old.

Its honestly quite impressive.

Plus it helps a lot of series I like/interested in are here like Golion (Aka Voltron), Tekkaman Blade, Gaogaigar, Getter Robo, Mazinger, Gundam Wing, Nadesico just to name a few.

*Exhales...I will say though I don't think I will touch another Super Robot Wars game for at least a year.

These games are fun, but they are a HUGE time sink.

u/OriginalTacoMoney — 18 days ago

So I am plowing through Super Robot Wars W getting close to the end , following Akurasu's guide for secrets.

And I am coming up to Chapter 50 with the last route split.

  • Go the Fight the Radam on the Moon route and get Tekkaman Rapier
  • Or do the Stop the battle at the PLANTs and get 4 Gundam Seed units.

And that got me thinking, with the long history of the franchise with decades of games and secrets , some of them requiring you taking 1 route and leaving another route secret characters/units/parts for a second playthrough.

Is there a case where most players seem to agree its worthwhile to NOT choose one of the secret options over something else.

Like for me personally it was Blitz Gundam and Mazinger earlier in W, but being told Blitz only takes SEED pilots and I couldn't put Gundam Wing Pilots made it a no brainer for me as I don't care for SEED and Mazinger Z is the grand daddy of super robots and of course I am getting.

But that comes down to personal preference .

So with that rambling out of the way, is there any secrets most SRW fans skip over the first time ?

Basically as the title says, I have Bachelors degree in Computer Science and 4 years of experience and then its so hard to stand out from the crowd.

At this point I'd take a general office or data entry job as long as I got in.

Anyone know any jobs hiring now or hiring in bulk?

I would greatly appreciate any feedback as its been too long for me.
