Uncovered some old drawings I did on the covers of bill books during my college internship. Drawn entirely with a single ballpoint pen from start to finish with almost zero errors. Looking at them now, there’s no way I could pull this off today with my shaky hands and premature presbyopia! This level of precision feels like a artifact from another life.

Hello, Moonatics, it has been awhile. I'm an original member from Grep Sailor Moon *. I was there to watch an image gallery turn into a media database that required a library card for access. A community and forum system soon emerged from it. This is one of the earliest implementations of a large forum system that I know of, predating phpBB2 and vBulletin. One of the more walled off areas of the community was the Moonatic Fringe. There was some discord in the community between new members of Central Control, versus veterans that could be found in the Moonatic Fringe. A few of us, myself included, became moderators for the community or acted as spokesman of sorts for the forum (the latter I forget how exactly). I myself was a Chibi Senshi under the Jupiter Team (moderation team). I had several sub-forums that I moderated (four to seven iirr); the only one I remember had anime characters that could be paired up with Sailor Moon characters and the pairing was rotated once every few days.

Like most of the SailorMoon.org forums, these scrolled like a chatroom and there was no permanent backup. That was until I discovered in my Internet history that Internet Explorer was caching some of these forums. I had Scot's blessing to create a forum backup that saved old forum posts. The plan was to capture as many postings through all of the forum areas as possible, but this fell through when I left the community. I believe I left because of drama, the confusing interface of V3 Crescent, and then in favor of other anime (as we all do at some point). Later on, I heard about some of the more dramatic shifts within the community, it it looks like I left at the right time.

As far as the forum backup project, I thought it was permanently deleted and lost to time. That was until I started deep diving some of my old Internet haunts. When I had found the forum backup, it had likely not seen the light of day for twenty-five years. More importantly, the Moonatic Fringe was one of those places that was already walled off from the general public, including normal forum members. Some of the usernames in those forums have never left me and they remain very familiar.

I do not know how accurate it is, I remember pulling it from the website. I believe the information is from my actual account. However, I could not get the original image of Ami, so I used the best one I could find.

To anyone I missed, time takes its toll on our memory; I may not remember your username, but you helped keep a community active, fun and interesting.

Hey everyone!

I think we all love Sailor Moon, but unfortunately, it’s no longer being shown on TV here! It was such a nice part of growing up — coming home from kindergarten or school and watching Sailor Moon every day.

I wish our kids could grow up with this amazing series too. That’s why I’m saying: **Bring Sailor Moon back!** 🌙✨
