Someone please help me identify this phone I don’t know the model. (READ DESC.)

It used to be a pretend play phone for my younger cousin cuz they never tried powering on the phone, but since they moved to Oklahoma, she gave it to me to keep in rememberance (don’t cringe on me or call me out for this its just how I got the phone). I was able to charge it and have it boot on, but I don’t know the model. If anyone does, let me know

Where do you usually find old Video8 camcorders these days?

I’ve bought two online so far.
In the first case, the unit wouldn’t power on at all, so I had to return it. The second one was listed as working and I even ordered it from overseas, but while it does power on, there’s no image in the viewfinder.

I’m specifically looking for Video8 / 8mm camcorders from the late 1980s to early 1990s.
The problem is that most listings I come across seem to be junk units or untested gear that ends up not working properly.

I’m wondering where people actually manage to source reliable working units.

Are there any specific marketplaces, collectors, repair sellers, or Japanese secondhand platforms that are more trustworthy than typical eBay-style listings?

At this point it feels pretty difficult to find anything that isn’t partially broken or misrepresented in the listing.

What is the next physical media?

I remember articles about basically crystals for storage that could hold terabytes of data some 15 years ago, and it was overshadowed by cloud storage as "the next big thing".

What are the latest news? I have been looking around but I would love if I could transfer to something more long term and not reburn data.

When Bulgarian Electronics Powered Nuclear Research

This is the Преброител П1 (Counter P1), a Bulgarian-built scientific instrument manufactured by РП Електроника. It was designed to count electrical pulses from detectors and was commonly used in nuclear physics laboratories and radiation measurements with Geiger-Müller tubes and scintillation detectors.

Inside a 1958 Soviet Radiation Detector

This Soviet vacuum-tube instrument from 1958 was designed to detect radioactive contamination using external probes. It measures radiation pulses, displays the count per minute, and even provides a simple status indication: Clean, Ready, or Dirty.

Inside are vacuum tubes, transformers, relays and beautifully hand-wired circuitry — a example of 1950s Soviet engineering.

iPhone 4s bootloops pc doesn't recognize it

So i found my old iphone 4s and i have 3 chargers for it the original one a pink one (sum fake one) a black one which doesnt do anything On the pink one if i leave it to charge for a bit it goes into recovery BUT my pc doesnt reconigse it in any way. Im running Linux on my pc and i went to see logs and these logs ONLY appear with the original charger:

**usb usb1-port3: unable to enumerate USB device**

**usb usb1-port3: Cannot enable. Maybe the USB cable is bad?**

**usb usb1-port3: Cannot enable. Maybe the USB cable is bad?**

usb usb1-port3: attempt power cycle

**usb usb1-port3: Cannot enable. Maybe the USB cable is bad?**

**usb usb1-port3: Cannot enable. Maybe the USB cable is bad?**

**usb usb1-port3: unable to enumerate USB device**

note: the phone only bootloops if its on a charger

Also. When i used this phone i was pretty little and i think i shorted the data pins out BUT

only ground pins stood and i see a red box at the bottom of the port which is likely a water dmg indicator and the data - and + pins are golden on the bottom BUT they are black on the top

When on charger the phone get hot but not really hot normal hot so its deffinetly getting some juice my prediction is that the port and the battery are dead does anyone know any way i can maybe get this to boot without any repairs or stuff i tried messaging the phone taking the sim card tray out but nope

MODEL:A1387

EMC 2430

I had some voltage drops on this phone when i tried to get it working when i first got into recovery after like 8 years it had a voltage drop it was in rec for like 30 seconds

Want to use real 2000s phone for daily use, is it really impossible?

I want to use an old flip phone for everyday use, right now I'm looking at a Nokia 6111 but really anything small and cute, ideally silver or a bright color. The problem is in my research I found that the phones then are only compatible with GSM 2G, which in the US has been taken down.

My best bet now is to try and find someone in NYC who can somehow change the hardware to be compatible with Verizon LTE or 5G, is this possible? and to keep the original display and interface? What kind of budget am I looking at?

Alternative is to find a phone that is compatible, if anyone has recommendations here is what I'm looking for:

Physical button keyboard

No touch screen or ability to use social media

Silver or light color option

Got A Bunch Of Vintage Tech For Free!

Earlier today, I went to a local media conversion store, where I saw a bunch of stuff lying on the floor. I asked the employee about it, and they let me take all of the stuff for free!

I picked up a cassette deck, a double cassette deck, two VCRs, two Sony camcorders, and five blank DVDs!

Model numbers in pictures.
