Rumbling noise at 25-30 mph
Hello everyone, turning here to see if anyone else has experienced something like this:
I have a 2019 HRV LX, that has 127k miles on it, I drive a lot, but within the last few weeks a rumbling noise has been coming from the back end of my car.
When I hit anywhere between 25-30 mph and then let off the gas and coast I get (what sounds like) engine back pressure but amplified to the point where I feel it in my foot on the brake and gas when I go to come out of coasting
I figured I had an exhaust leak so I took it to a exhaust/muffler place and they said there was nothing wrong and my muffler/exhaust was fully in tact (I live in New England so I figured the ice and road salt was getting to it), he suggested getting my tires balanced and rotated.
So I did that at a separate shop, and after leaving the parking lot from that appointment the noise persisted.
Any help or commonalities with other people, I’d love to get it fixed but trying to avoid just going in and having a mechanic try everything under the sun to get it to go away. (And costing a fortune in the mean time)
Thanks to anyone who has any insight!!
TLDR: rubbing noise at 25-30 mph while engine breaking, checked exhaust and did a tire rotation/balance, need help diagnosing if possible!
