Can't connect to Hume Body on iOS27

Has anyone had any trouble with iOS27 and getting readings from the body? In various parts of the Hume app, it says the scale is either connected or disconnected. Pretty inconsistent.

Even before I got on the beta, though, the connection was super spotty. Once or twice every week I'd have to fiddle with things. So I'm not convinced it's the beta OS. But this time I can't get the scale to actually connect at all so I can reset it. It's basically useless to me right now.

Overall, the Hume experience has been... disappointing.

Another "Hume Pod Body Fat % is way off" post

I've looked at a few weeks' of posts for the answers here, so forgive me if these are answered elsewhere...

I've been using an old Whithings scale for a while, and recently got down to around 21% BF from 25%, according to the Whithings. About 6 years ago, I put in the work, and got down to 16%, again according to the Whithings. So I know what my body looks like when it's leaner.

Got the Pod this weekend, and was stunned when it told me 14%. I've not done DEXA, but I can assure you that I'm not 14%. Looking at visual representations of various body fat %s online, I do believe that 21% is closer.

I'm 3 days into my Hume journey, and it's jumped from the initial 14%, to 16.x% and today was 15.x%. Is it going to get better after some period of "calibration"? Is there a technique to holding the handle? (I've watched a ridiculous number of "holding the handle" YT videos.)

I know it's perfect for some folks, but for those it isn't, is there really no choice but to send it back?
