What mic fits a messy sewing desk setup?

Not really asking about a proper studio setup. More like... what do you do when both your hands and the table are already busy?

I film sewing and thrift flip on my phone, most of the talking happens while I'm cutting fabric, pinning stuff, or leaning over the table, so the mic keeps getting rubbed or bumped.

Voiceover feels a bit too clean for this kind of video. A desk mic gets in the way. And having a cable anywhere near fabric scissors just feels like a bad idea.

Is a tiny wireless mic basically the least annoying option here?

▲ 7 r/eSIMs

My friend and I are planning a 2-week trip soon and we’re trying to figure out the best data setup. Right now, we are thinking of just getting one eSIM and sharing it via hotspot so we can save up a bit, but not sure whether it can actually work in real life.

We’ll mostly use it for maps, messaging, and basic browsing, but there could be 2–3 devices connected at times. I’ve seen people say speeds can drop once you start sharing, or hotspot just becomes unstable. Also a bit worried that if something stops working mid-trip, it’s not like it’s easy to fix on the spot, especially if both of us are relying on the same connection.

Has anyone actually tried using one eSIM for 2 people like this? Does it work, or is it just not worth the risk?
