Tiny EDC Tool. Loud When It Matters.

We are planning to make more of these in different colors and attachment styles for EDC, keychains and emergency carry setups.

Would love to know:

  • Would you carry something like this?
  • Would you gift one to family members?
  • What colors/materials/designs would you prefer?

Feel free to share honest feedback or suggestions.

Tiny EDC Tool. Loud When It Matters

My brother has been experimenting with making compact safety whistles and I honestly found them pretty interesting from an EDC/preparedness perspective.

The whistle in the photos is extremely small and lightweight — something that can easily live on:

  • keychains
  • backpack zippers
  • sling bags
  • car keys
  • emergency kits

What I liked is that unlike many “EDC accessories”, this is actually practical and can be useful in real situations.

Especially for:

  • women travelling alone
  • elderly family members
  • kids/college students
  • trekkers
  • night commuters
  • emergency situations where attracting attention quickly matters

The bright color also makes it easier to locate inside a bag or low-light situation.

Personally, I feel this kind of item sits in a very interesting space:
small enough to forget you’re carrying it, but potentially very useful when needed.

Custom-Made Key Holder by Avinash AKA u/RawhideCo

Finally Found the Perfect Key Holder for My EDC.

Shoutout to Avinash AKA u/RawhideCo for making this beautiful key holder. Photos are honestly not doing justice to the product.

I’ve always been irritated with jiggly keys, but honestly not enough to spend Orbitkey-level money on them. I tried a few cheaper Amazon options, but ended up returning all of them. Then I almost finalized the KeyUnity from Outback Address, but that also felt a bit too plastic-y and cheap for the price.

Meanwhile, I saw Avinash Bhai post a bigger version of his key holder on his Insta story. I immediately DM’d him asking if he could make a compact version for me and he actually agreed to custom make one.

The very next day, I got a message asking me to connect on WhatsApp. Genuine gem of a person and super approachable.

If he’s okay with it, I’ll share the further part of this experience too.

Hey folks,

I’ve been curious about how people here manage their non-EDC gear.

I don’t have a huge collection of SAKs, knives, or flashlights—just a few wallets and some rotation items. Usually I carry one set (SAK/knife/flashlight), but I’m not sure what’s the best way to store the rest when they’re not in use.

Right now, I just keep things in random drawers, but I feel there’s probably a better, more organized way to do it.

How do you all store your extras?

  • Do you use organizers, pouches, cases, or display setups?
  • Do you keep them ready-to-go in kits or just store them separately?
  • Any budget-friendly ideas for keeping things tidy and easy to access?

Would love to see setups or hear what works for you.
