What if they eventually made a completely separate Dexter continuity? One that’s disconnected from the current TV universe and faithfully adapts the original novels instead of branching away from them like the original series did?

They could keep the younger cast from Dexter: Original Sin and revisit the story in 10–15 years, allowing the actors to naturally age into versions closer to the characters from the books.

Instead of retelling the exact Showtime storyline, the series could follow the later novels much more closely.
It’d basically be a “book-accurate Dexter universe”
